Ok, I've signed up! I haven't listed yet, but I'm definitely taking a look around. The site looks so friendly!

Default Opinions about selling on bonanzle
A few days ago I asked opinions about how to get the 30 day ban lifted on my ebay account after I attempted to relist my Gigi. Someone suggested Bonanzle and I was wondering before I list my merchandise on this site, if anyone has bought or sold on this site and what are your thoughts about buying Coach from this site. Thanks in advance for your comments.

I haven't tried Bonanzle or ecrater yet but go over to the Ebay forum - there's a ton of info over there on both these sites and pros/cons.

I actually set up an account and was thinking of listing some things due to the restriction but would like to know more too. I have been reading some over there but just don't know if anything is actually selling.

The first is that Bonanzle sellers have feedback, just as eBay sellers do. Most of our serious sellers have already imported several thousand feedback from their eBay accounts. Knowing that the seller has established a verifiable eBay presence is a good start to knowing the seller to be trustable.

A second way for buyers to spot a quality seller is by the user recommendations. Many of the site's regular sellers are endorsed by other reputable sellers. After a seller earns a few recommendations from site regulars, buyers can gain a good degree of confidence that they're dealing with a genuine seller. I would love to see the tPFers from here share their Bonanzle identities and endorse each other as reputable authorities on the wares with which you are so familiar.

Finally, and probably most importantly, almost all our transactions process through Google Checkout and Paypal, which means that even if we don't ask for the user's bank account number, GC or Paypal did. In the case that a transaction is disputed, we will use Paypal / GC to track down the seller who received payment, and use the means already built into their system to pursue and prosecute fake sellers however possible.

All that said, could things still go wrong? But of course. If a buyer sees fit to send a money order to a seller with no imported feedback and no endorsements, they are certainly exposing themselves to high risk. But that's pretty obvious stuff, and you wouldn't go and do a thing like that now, would you? :)

Cheers,
Bill Harding (Totally Unbiased Founder of Bonanzle)

Thanks, Bill, for taking the time to post here and show you care...it means

So I'm thinking we should ask the mods to rename this thread "Come join us at Bonanzle.com" and ask for it to be stickied. Anyone with me??:)

I am a seller on Bonanzle now, but only for my pop art prints, nothing else. However, I have only recently just sold two prints—to a tPFer—and that's it. I signed up for my account about a month ago.

I think in theory, they sound like a wonderful alternative, but in reality, it's not YET. We're trying and trying to promote the site, but let's face it, right now, eBay has us by the balls and they know it! They have the traffic and the membership, so they can be a-holes and get away with it. It sucks, but it's the truth.

You can try listing it, because I think someone else from tPF has sold a few of their MJ bags on Bonanzle, I believe. It can't hurt to try because it's free to list.

I was the seller of the MJ bags. I have history in Ebay as a reliable "trusted" seller of MJ bags and just referred people to bonanzle on my ebay world page. I had listings on both sites - I did list a Zip Clutch ONLYon bonanzle and it sold on it's own overnight. I think traffic will eventually get there - glad I got my foot in the door there early Hard to beat the price

I am starting to list on Bonanzle, Etsy and Atomic Mall. The only live listings are on Atomic Mall at the moment and they are getting some "hits" or views, which is all I can ask at the moment.

Transfer of product from eBay is not tough, but I have to massage the info individually since some of my eBay info does not apply.

Atomic Mall does not have calculated shipping available yet and Bonanzle does not transfer my shipping info from the eBay listing. Neither seem to have the some categories that match up with eBay, at least yet.

Some of the generic condition statements did not work with our product line, but after writing to them, they adjusted quickly.

I may also list on OnlineAuction.com because we like some things to go through an auction format. After that, I think we are done with adding sales sites unless we drop another.

You listed your Bonanzle Booth on your My eBay page, and that's cool to do?

I didn't realize that. I will promote mine, as well.

I'm suprised at the amount of things on bonanzle! I think this might be my eBay alternative from now on. I started resorting to Craigslist which is so hard to sell things on sometimes!

I agree. The bad thing about Craig's List is it's local within your area. And CL is weird about posting the same thing more than once in other areas. That bugs me. I hate that they have this, but I guess people took advantage of the fact that the listings are free and they were over posting.
