As i wrote in my reply: i'm sure many of the MP Resellers are honest people who are trying to convey that they are.

i am sure that some of them are, too. and i agree that they are being fooled along with the people who are trusting her seal of approval.

yeah, it's a shame isn't it? Scavenging around on the periphery for peoples' money and doing sweet FA. As you can probably tell, I have absolute contempt for My Poupette and the way they go about their business. If i was king of the world - rest assured i am working on that as we speak - i would shut 'em down.

I wonder how they conduct any business, if they don't have a PP account! I've been very lucky, I go to caroldiva. I've always had prompt service from her!

That's just genuinely despicable. I don't know much about MyPoupette (I've only ever bought LV through boutiques and some things from a friend) - is the entire thing run by just one person? Or are we talking about the brainchild of some larger corporation?

I've got no idea who runs it or how big they are. Some other people have posted to say its now only one person who runs it from the back of a jewelery shop. it appears they were once much bigger and had a half-decent reputation. whereas now they just trade off it. interestingly, given the regular serves they cop on this forum and others too, no one from MP has bothered to refute them or offer any sort of explanation.

Sorry if this has been posted before but castira.com is excellent as well.

I have heard of MP allegedly authenticating things wrongly too many times as well. Fake Gucci's allegedly labeled authentic.

They were never bigger. It's always been one owner and a couple of helpers (inc. Carol of Caroldiva), and currently the owner's assistant, who is also her sister.

The MPRS are, of course, individual sellers, with their own separate reputations and practices. They just have to all meet certain criteria for authenticity in what they sell--but customer service and condition of the goods does vary widely. It was originally a pretty small group that was very carefully monitored. There are still excellent sellers in that list. The authentications by MP is a totally different branch of the organization.

I haven't had any dealings with the resellers, only with My Poupette and their $10 evaluations. I do feel for them because they cop collateral damage from My Poupette.

Has anyone seen this? My Poupette has started their own AUCTION SITE:

http://www.imagechic.com/

This is from their ABOUT US page:

"Welcome to Image Chic, the world's only auction site with guaranteed authentic designer merchandise! Each seller must be pre-approved so you do not have to worry about authenticity. We are owned by My Poupette and believe in the buyer's right to purchase authentic merchandise. ImageChic is where you finally have that opportunity!

Most sellers have a Buy Now option, which is popular with our visitors. There is actually very little bidding that goes on.

If you are interested in selling your authentic designer merchandise on ImageChic.com, please complete our short application and provide the information requested. You may need to have your items authenticated first, but we will help you with that. To get started, click here."

Actually, they've had an auction site before, for several years. This is just the new version of it. They are committed to authenticity.

Gee, their level of commitment would want to be vastly improved from the woeful efforts that people have been detailing on this forum. And i"m not even talking authenticity here, merely the basics of customer service and providing a service that someone has paid for! Indeed, in my experience, they displayed the opposite of commitment.

I wasn't clear: I was speaking of the MPRS in that organization, who have nothing to do with the authentication services. Most are very likely unaware of these other problems; they aren't employees but independent sellers.

I would bet that if a survey asked MPRS about how well the authentication side of things works in that California office, most would have no idea.

I'm not sure if she still does it, but Ann at Annsfabulousfinds.com did it once for me. I used her authentication letter to get my money back from a crooked seller!

Fair enough. As i posted earlier, I do feel for the MPRS. Because the brand equity of My Poupette - and lets face it, people join it for the supposed 'credibility factor' - is being eroded by their current 'questionable practices'. I think MPRS should be aware of what My Poupette are up to because it's not doing them any favours. Indeed, it could be damaging their reputation by association.

The only way I got My Poupette to answer my correspondence and get my money refunded, was by threatening to send all the MPRS 'my story', including the lengthy list of threads from various sites brimming with pissed off customers. They didn't want that can of worms opened. Tells you something doesn't it?
