The risk is on the buyer when it comes to money orders..mainly. As long as you make sure it clears in your bank account before sending, or have them send you one that can be cashed at a PO , you should be fine, does the buyer have good feedback ?
Course there is the issue of fake money orders, but i must say i've never come across someone who received one .
Also, i think there's a possibility of them bouncing up to a year later (don't quote me here though ).

I think you're fine if the buyer pays by MO since the buy is the one who risks losing the protection by not using paypal. Just don't ship until the MO clears.

I would only do it with a international post office money order. You can cash it at the post office.Keep in mind if you are in the USA and she is in Canada it will also take a while to get the money order.I do not like taking them as they can be fake,or they can simply not send it, then say they did..Now you are sitting on the item for quite a while with no money.. Too many variabels IMO

^^ Agree with abbiesmommy here : only the post office money orders are safe. When you receive the m.o. cash it right there at your post office before sending the item. Bank money orders can be forged and even if it looks like it cleared your acct., they can come back to haunt you weeks later.

I absolutely agree with mmmsc and abbiesmommy, take only a International Postal Order. As said, it can be cashed at the P.O. so you don't have to wait for it to clear.

Just think of all the fees you aren't paying.

I have had a few buyer who wanted to pay by postal money order in the past. All of them sent it with tracking number and delivery confirmation.

Sometimes small post offices don't have a lot of cash ready, so if the amount is big, better go to a bigger one.
