I am sorry about this. I can tell you what I have done, and what I find ethical. I have sold about 12 items on evilbay within the last two weeks. I never went to the po to check the cost and just put in $35 for most items in my listings. Well, the problem is that most items cost me about $50 or more to ship but I never asked the buyer for any additional funds as I am to blame in this situation and if I have stated a shipping cost then I will stand by my word. I will of course up the fee on my listings should I decide to sell more in the future....but I do not go back on my word, and yes, it has cost me about $15 multiplied with 12 (the number of items shipped) which is not very nice but I am the only one to blame here!

Thank you for your input Kat. It seems that we are all agreed that personally we would never ask a buyer to give more money after a price has been agreed.

As i still don't have the bag i've opend a dispute because i have serious doubts if this bag has been sent at all. I've e-mailed them twice for shipping or tracking info and have yet to get a reply.

So annoying! x

If buyer emailed after the auction asking discount will be unacceptable!!
This situation is exectly like that!
Seller should honor the agreement without any complaint or without making it look like doing favor for the buyer!

You´re so welcome......I have a fav seller on the bay whom I buy loads of stuff from and have done so for the past 7-8 years. When ever I see that she has had to pay more for having her package sent to me I send her an additional payment via paypal Good luck!

Well i opend the dispute and the seller is so rude!!

They are trying to make out like it is my fault which it isnt!! I am so mad about this - seriously. This seller has no respect - and also i am sure there is more than one person replying to the dispute because they keep repeating themselves and it's really getting on my nerves!!!

They have finally given me a tracking number, which surprise surprise doesn't work! I swear if i get scammed over a £50($100) handbag i am gonna laugh at them. I pray they are not a scammer but if you are gonna scam somebody surely you'd do it for an amount that was at least worth while? no?

I also had a similar experience as lovely64. I used to state in my listing that I only ship to the US and shipping is $15 including insurance and tracking. My hogan bag was sold to someone in Hawaii....the shiping was of course doubled ($30). I didn't ask the buyer to pay more but now state in my listing that I only ship to the continental US.

Maybe they gave you an insurance number instead of a tracking number, that happened to me one time. Good news is if it doesn't get to you soon then you will get your money back.

Thank you Coachfreak!! I really want teh bag, but time is getting on. The seller has said that all the other international items they shipped at the same time have arrived.

*sigh* part of me just wants a refund so i don't have to go through this. But another part just wants to bag to hurry up and arrive already! x

So did ur seller ship priority or first class?my experience was that with first class,it took 23 days to arrive which is y i always use either priority or express.priority always gets to me within 7 days.
If the seller declared full value on the box..maybe it's stuck in customs?

I bought another bag from a different seller in the US 5 days ago and it arrived today, by first class shipping. Which is a slower method than supposedly what this seller has sent by.

I am so annoyed over what to do nest, wait it out? or open a dispute? x

I think it must be stuck in customs. I can't think of any other reason for it to be delayed. They eventually shipped via Priority mail, but the number they are giving me isn't showing up on USPS tracking site, and i've confirmed with them that it is the tracking number and not the insurance number or anything else.

I am so frustrated over this. Why do things have to be so difficult??

Have u tried tracking on parcelforce.com?It should be showing up now if it has arrived in the UK.tracking info becomes available on parcelforce.com when it leaves the origin country.

Thank You gMbt - i didn't think to check that!

Right i've checked it and it isn't recognised there either :( This is the number

LC60494894OUS

It's odd to me that there are 3 letters at the end. It should only be 2, US - as in the country of origin. If i change the "oh" to a "zero" i get tracking on a parcel sent around July 1st.

Am i doing this right? does anything look odd to anybody else?? x
