Question About to close my Paypal account...advice?

I've just sold my last few items on evilbay recently, and am ready to close my PP account. I'm just so sick of all the bad buyers, scammers, and other nightmares that evilbay/PP include. Is there anything I should know or do before I go ahead and close it? Once closed, will all of my CC info still be available to Paypal? Also, will I still be able to use evilbay without a PP account? (I'm assuming yes, if I pay with money order, wire transfer, etc.) Although if the answer if no, I don't think I'd mind too much....

I did a search but didn't find too much info...any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Of course your credit card records will still be in Paypal's files, closed or not, but a lot of sellers will only accept that one form of payment, and you'll be left out of those auctions.

Yea, I know...so I'll only be buying from sellers who take other forms of payment than just PP. But if I close my bank account and open another, will they still be able to access my money for any reason?

the only problem w/ using the other form of paymnet is that , you won't have any protection atall, if you send money order and seller didn't send the package , then you are out of your money and item. Atleast w/ paying w/ paypall you can go back to your cc if paypal is no help.

Right now i'm in a sitaution that paypal locked my account for some issue from year ago. And i want so bad to sell and buy, but i can't coz i can't use my paypal. And everytime i used money order i get sicked to my stomach , praying and hoping that i will get my item w/ no problem. So far i'm encountering an honest people.

OK, hold on. They just locked the account from an issue that was several months old? No warning?

This is really freaking me out. . . I had an issue I thought was settled but now I'm afraid at any time it could come back. . .

One of my very first purchases on eBay (3 yrs ago) was a supposedly "real" LV bag from a seller and I sent a MO...............seller did a bait & switch..........sent a fake bag. Heat stamp wasn't even the same as the picture in the listing. So of course I had no recourse with the transaction because I didn't use paypal, now I will only use paypal, no more MO's for me.

Just don't cut your nose off to spite your face.

Meaning, it may sound exhilarating to close it now, but down the road, you may regret it and would have to go through the motions again of opening it. I would rethink it before closing it, just in case.
