I sold a bag back on the 8th to a buyer who hadn't received feedback since 08' (I know, I know..shady) but they paid immediately BIN and so I shipped the next day. The bag wasn't a big ticket item, it went for a hundred and some change.

The package got to buyer's city on the 11th. Delivery was attempted, but no one was home to receive it and notice was left. (I mistakenly put signature confirmation while printing out multiple labels for different shipments). Anyway, the week starts to go by, no update on tracking, still hasn't been scheduled for redelivery or picked up at the PO. I sent a message to buyer yesterday just asking what her status was on getting the bag and gently reminding her that she can arrange for it to be redelivered or go get it herself.

No word back yet. I'm starting to get a funny feeling about this. Her feedback was fine, just old. I know the package will come back to me eventually (without issue, fingers crossed) but I just don't get it! What was the point of the transaction? Maybe a family issue came up or she simply hasn't gotten around to getting it but it doesn't feel that way for some reason.

I'm new to the selling game and still learning, but if the bag does come back I'm guessing I issue a refund to her and just relist it? Is there anything else I should do?

Thanks in advance guys!

I wouldn't worry too much right now. August is the month a lot of people take for vacation. I would just wait for a few more days. At least your package is secured and waiting for a signature. The worst case would be the package left at the front door but the buyer is gone for vacation. Fortunately it is not going to happen.

Good luck! Please keep us posted.

I think you were wise to put signature confirmation on it! I would just hang tight for now. They may have taken a break from ebay and then happened to see something they wanted (your item!) so thought they'd try it again, that would explain the older feedback.

Perhaps your buyer took some time off & may have forgotton that a package

was on its way... if she doesn't pick it up it should be returned to you..

If it was indeed an oversight of your buyer & she wants you to resend it

she will have to pay for the shipping back to her..

Have you tried to contact her via phone w/ebay's contact info??

You can always leave a message

Did you send a message to make sure she knows she has to go to the PO or make arrangements for them to deliver it? Sometimes the cards get stuck in junk mail.

I would give it some time. There was one time that I needed to contact someone on ebay about an item and didn't hear from them for quite awhile. I emailed a few times, but still hadn't heard back. I was a little irritated, but at the same time, I know unexpected things can happen in life so I just kept patient. It turned out that she had gotten into a car accident. She was still recovering, but was super nice and tried to contact me as soon as she was able to.
So hopefully nothing like that has happened to your buyer! If her feedback was fine, then you might just need to wait a little more. Good luck though
