(1) Some people write their own HTML code to link to their photos on their own server or to a 3rd party server service (e.g., Photobucket). (2) Others use pre-designed templates with pay for auction services like Auctiva. The first option would be free, the auction services charge a fee. Hope this helps a little.

I link to one of my own servers and have never had a problem. To my knowledge, it is ok to link to photobucket. BUT, I would ask *bay the question before you publish your listings and burn your listing allotment. If you are listing designer items, it is up to *bay when they will remove or increase your designer listing quotas. I do not think there is a specific time period that they adhere to! Best of luck and I hope you get top dollar for your items!

OP: Have you read the Seller Education topics on eBay? Most of the answers to your questions will be there. At least go through the Learning Essentials at the Seller Information Center. Click on "Sell" and look for the link. Given the questions and problems we see here, I think everyone should read all the info and instructions before listing items on the website. It helps you sell with more confidence, improves the experience and your chances at being successful, and helps you avoid unnecessary problems kuz of something you didn't know prior to listing. And if there's something you don't understand or need help with, there's always someone here to help. Good luck!

PS: I've used the Photobucket links without running into a single problem.

Do not revise an item, this counts as a listing. I made this mistake when I first started out.

you can revise your listings, with no penalty or fees added unless of course you add additional photos into your listing--not using photobucket-- or make changes that do cost money like a buy it now ect. then they do add onto the fees.Only time I think they say it is another item added is if you totally end the listing due to bids then try to relist then yes they consider that a new item added...all new fees again. I have never heard of people getting into trouble for using photo bucket just be sure to tell people to look below for photos and give them time to load.

When Mrs. P said they count as a listing, she didn't mean in fees. They count against the number of listings you can have. I'm not sure if that includes a limit for new eBayers, but it does count if you encounter the restrictions on listings for certain designers.

Hope that made sense.

^^ Sorry, in my last post I should have said "I think" this is what Mrs. P meant. I typed too quickly on my way to something else.
