Hi, I am a newbee here at Dior.. used to be a chanle fan. However, I incidentally went into the Dior boutique and discovered this great bag 'new lock pochette' ... I fell in love with it immediately. Now I am thinking of getting one since I think that it is way more functional than Chanel WOC. However, after "donating" to chanel lots of money in the past half a year, I only can afford one 'new lock pochette' this year. Now my final question is what color should I choose? Each one is so beautiful and so bad that I can only get one... Thanks for your advice!

Welcome to Dior! I'm also like you, from Chanel to Dior. My 1st is also the new lock pochette. :)
I got the pink python fushia with champagne gold chain and I did a reveal too.

I think I've seen purple patent and red patent reveal in the forum.

If im not wrong, the new lock pochette comes in patent leather, lambskin and python. There's silver and gold chain.

What are the bag colours that you currently have? That way it's easier to advise. :)

I havent carried my python bag out but i dont think it is easy to care for coz of those flippping scales issue. But on a small pochette, i think it wont be as bad as compared to a bigger bag. :)

Since you have so many black bags, I would propose that maybe you could consider purple, red or pink. I've seen purple and rasberry red in patent leather and the fushia pink in lambskin.

any exotic skin bags require more care than the lambskin and patent leather bags. As such, it is advised that when carrying the python bags to make sure you're not wearing any clothes where the scales can catch on and lift more easily. this will happen over time already, but wearing clothes that catch the scales can cause this to happen more quickly and possibly peel off the bag.

It appears you prefer darker coloured bags, so maybe a black or beige? A lot of the New Lock Pochettes are in brighter colours, but if you don't mind a bit of colour to make a statement, the red and purple are also nice choices. If you prefer something more subtle, the Bois de Rose is a nice colour as well

Hi there! I recently got a new lock pochette and I opted for the patent pearly gray!
It is so lovely and can go for casual to formal bag :)
Check this thread for photos: Check out my Lunar New Year present

But if you want a pop of colour, they have lovely purple and reds to choose from! :)

Happy shopping!

Thanks soooooooo much! ladies
One more question, patent lether or lamb skin? At Chanel, I am a pure caviar lover...
I am not a very carefull one. And someone said that lamb skin in Dior looks more elegant than patent lether.. I need an advice too.

I have the patent leather purple, and I adore it. ADORE IT!!! It's a gorgeous color, goes with more colors than you might think (gray, black, brown, navy, etc.), and it's so easy to take care of. I love this bag!!! My favorite out of everything I own. :)

I recommend the purple one that CoachCruiser got. The combination of rich purple with Champagne gold hardware is heavenly! It's beautiful in patent and lambskin, but if you want something that is more scratch-resistant like Chanel's Caviar leather, then I suggest the patent leather.

Thanks so much !
Is patent lether easy to get the so-called "color transfer"? I heard that someone was talking about color transfer on patent...

Yes, for lighter coloured patent leathers you should avoid all contact with darker, non colourfast materials.

Ha...Guess what,
I went back to Dior boutique and changed my pouchette to the ""dark red" version, since last time I got a plain red... I love the dark red one but they did not have...
