Its a long Lady Dior bag, made in 2004, not sure of the retail of the denim, but the leather ones sell around 700 GBP on Dior website, which is a crazy price. I wouldnt pay more than 200-250 $ for this denim one.

its a soft Lady Dior tote, its was produced more than one season, you can check the month and year of production by looking at the inside tag - first and third digit is the month, second and fourth is the year.

Thank you, nataliem1976! The inside tag says 05-MA-0067. Does that mean it was produced in June of 2007, and if so, should my husband not have paid full retail for it? I think the bag is quite cute, but if it's on sale somewhere, I'd rather he paid less for it.

yup June 07. Since Lady Dior bags dont go on sale every season ( as theyre usually produced for more than one ), I dont think you will find it on sale anywhere.
