I think I like the patent one much better and go for another color in the lambskin. What color would you think is nice in lambskin? I hope they have red!
Gosh, the beige patent with GHW is gorgeous. If they don't have red, and you want a pop of color, get the orange or purple with GHW. Or they might still have 12C fuchsia which was very close to red. Have fun hunting.

You can check this on the Dior website under the Evening bags and pouches section for the most up to date colours, or you can phone your nearest boutique and ask.

Most colours are nice in lambskin and it's more durable too (colour transfers and wet spots on patent leather is permanent) so you have to make sure you take care of it more than lambskin New Lock pouches. I'm biased because I like pink, but I'd go for the bois de rose or I believe there's a purple colour too (although I've only seen photos of the purple in patent)
So patent is harder to care for?

It doesn't come in red patent, but they have the wallet in red patent.... Hmm do I need a wallet? :)

Thanks, The pink does look attractive!

I like the hot pink it is very pretty! And patent purple is in GWH looks really elegant. Both are seasonal colours. I just got the red patent one - see my latest reveal and I'm resisting the urge to collect them in all colours!

Depends which beige you are keeping, maybe you can get the opposite finish?

patent has its pros and cons just like lambskin. Patent is more scratch resistant, but any colour transfers or wet stains are permanent, so keep it out of the rain and avoid wearing colours or fabrics that will leave colour marks on it. I've got a couple of pen marks and it looks like colour from the ribbon on my diary has rubbed off on the leather and on the zipper and I've not been able to remove them from my pale pink wallet :(

lambskin is better in that you can remove colour transfers if you clean it off immediately. It's more durable than lambskin used on Chanel bags (or so I'm told), you can use waterproofing spray on the leather (like Collinil) to reduce water damage to the leather, but it's definitely not water proof so you still have to be careful with it.
