The pictures that were posted for authenticating a saddle bag are not working. I am trying to buy a saddle bag and it would be really helpful to have some visuals to aid me. Thanks!

I know when you purchase dior shoes they come with dustbags, but do they also come with authenticity cards?

The gaucho photos are working but not the saddle pictures. Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

About a month ago I bought a Detective Bag on eBay, and thanks to the help of Zero I was able to prove it was a fake. I bought a real one from a boutique, for 40% off , and it just arrived today. It's so beautiful, and I thought that I would post pics of the differences between a real detective bag and a fake one, since I still have the fake until the dispute is settled on paypal. This way no one else will get suckered into buying a fake.

First pics are of a head on shot of both bags, the pics of the real bag are going to be on top. You can tell this difference in the color, the real one is a lighter red.




Second is a close-up picture of the stitching. The real one's stitching is zig-zaged and the color of it isn't a bright white as it is with the fake.




Next, is a close-up of the lettering on the dustbag. The color of the lettering should be light/medium grayish, instead of the dark gray color of the fake. Also, it should be a thicker font.

Here are pictures of the handles, as you can see with the real one the handles are thinner and more structured. Also, where the end of the handles connect to on the back is set closer together than the fake. Another thing I noticed is the handles on the fake would never stand up on their own, unlike the real Dior.




The last pictures that I am going to post are of the lining on the inside of the bag. That's how I figured out the bag was a fake, because the lining is upside down and going from the upper left to the right, instead of the bottom left up to right. Also the color of the lining, like the Dior lettering and especially the flowers, are darker and the details are more distinct.

that's a brilliant guide fashion_guru! it'd definitely come in handy. and now with all those comparison shots, the fake is really obvious now (unlike before when it looked pretty authentic bar the interior lining).

Hello. I'm new here, and to Dior in general. I wish I knew this forum existed before I bought TWO fake gauchos on ebay (could easily tell the first one was a fake, and returned; just received second in mail and it looks pretty good, but the medallion profile is smooth). I'm sorry if this was already asked (I did a search, but didn't quite find it), but is it safe to say that anything with the serial number 05-MA-1025 is a fake?
