Hi, are you familiar with diabro.net? They are selling the gaucho saddles and i want one so bad :-( i just don't want to be pick-pocketed ;-)

So far I've only seen the 2006 on eLuxury which is legit...any help? Thanks do much!

Here is a guide I put together in order to assist with authenticating a Dior Gaucho. I sincerely hope it helps.

I would be interested to read your guide on shoes. I am requesting one on wallets and other small goods that have the different authenticity cards and fold over dust bag. Has anyone thought about doing one on jewelry too?

Thank you so much for your suggestions! I am very open and want to do guides reviewing itemsn in order to be helpful. I will definately look into completing a guide for Dior jewelry. In addition, I do plan to complete a guide for Dior wallets and accessories. I will post the links corresponding with the guides when I complete them.

Also, if anyone reviews my guides and has suggestions...please let me know! I am very open to ideas and there is always room to improve! (p.s. Please keep in mind, unfortunately eBay only allows so many pics within each guide, certain size pics and specific formats).

Hi I purchased a belt and earrings on ebay that say Dior but I was not sure how to authenticate them. If you can I will post photos and maybe you can use them for your guide. If you can authenticate them just let me know and what forum is best to post them in, here or the "authenticate this" forum.

CHRISTIAN DIOR GAUCHO BAGS - GUIDE I

DIOR GAUCHO TAG

• finished around every edge with stitching
• top edge stitching should be a different color than stitching on the other three edges
• front: embossed with "Christian Dior", "PARIS" then space and "MADE IN ITALY"
• please note: the plain/grained Gaucho will have silver writing, instead of being embossed
• back: embossed with serial code, two numbers - two letters - four numbers (ex: 05-MA-0017)

AUTHENTICITY TIP: If the tag is not finished with stitching on every edge - fake!

AVOID! COMMON FAKE SERIAL NUMBERS: 05-MA-1025, 06-MA-1025, 05-MA-0036

• there is an indentation that goes down the side of the face upon the cheek
• the words "R. Cochet" should be tucked right above the suit jacket's collar edge
• the coin is very detailed; notice the wrinkles, ear, nose and so forth

AUTHENTICITY TIP: No indentation down the side of the cheek - fake!

• the "CD" should be very close together and not have excessive space in between

AUTHENTICITY TIP: If there is a large amount of space between the "CD" engraving - fake!

• Gaucho's come with a grey colored plastic "Authenticity Certificate Card" with black writing, never gold writing
• Dust bag: grey letters "Dior" comes with most Gaucho's or "Christian Dior PARIS" comes with older Gaucho's

AUTHENTICITY TIP: Gaucho with Dior Authenticity Card that has gold writing - fake!
