The Authenticity card is grey with gold letters. Does this automatically make it a fake or are there genuine Dior's with gold lettering? The maintenance guide does have one misspelling in it that I could find. The word "sane" is where the word "same" should be. Also the font changes in the maintenance guide.

I think I have a fake on my hands. Please let me know what else about the bag looks to be fake.

The older Dior bags have grey authenticity cards with gold lettering, so its not necessarily a sign of fake. if you dont have pics of the bag to show us so that we can authenticate please go to Authentication Tips

and scroll down to post nr 9. good luck!

What are the specific things that prove it is a fake? I want to get my money back and want to know how to approach the seller with facts as it was represented as a real Dior handbag.

omg i dont even know where to begin...the shape is off, the logo on the canvas is waaaay deformed, the interior tag has wrong font and in rasta line the lettering should be gold or silver ( check out the pics i posted a few posts above for your own reference ) and the code is all wrong, it should be something along lines of 20-MA-0092 where the last 4 digits mean 09 month and 02 year of production . Did you get it on ebay???

No, not bought on ebay. Private purchase, however represented as a authentic Dior. Thanks for your help. I'm new at this, and will certainly look to this Forum for future purchases prior to the purchase.

will look for more pictures for you. Show that person the look of logo on the canvas do you see how bigger more spaced out and much thinner the font is on your fake bag? its one of dead give aways...good luck with the seller maybe he/she should see this thread! and ur always welcome to authenticate any bag you wish here!

Also in addition to what nataliam said the tag says "Paris" instead of made in Italy.
