I know it seems ESPECIALLY suspect because of the complete lack of pictures. I just fell in love with the bag and simply couldn't afford full price. When I get it, I'll immediately take pictures and post them so that you ladies can help me out. Also, let me know what you need pictures of so that I get them. She allegedly has the 24 hour return policy so if you ladies say it's a no-go...back it goes!

Sorry I didn't reply to that message...I wasn't sure if your bracelet was authentic so that's why I didn't post anything. I can judge the authenticity of Dior's handbags, sunglasses, shoes, and even their metal jewelry, but not so much their resin/plastic jewelry. From looking at your bracelet, I can tell that the Dior logo is accurate (as in it looks like the original logo...I've seen the logo on fakes of these and they have a very weird-looking "r"), but there are so many of these bracelets on Ebay that have an accurate logo and sell for dirt cheap prices :(

Does your bracelet feel expensive/well made? Are the rhinestones very shimmery under spotlights? If they are, you have a real one because fakes use really poor quality rhinestones, and the bracelet portion of fakes is made of cheap plastic.

Can anyone else help?

Ummm...she's sold LV bags before that buyers say are authentic. I would try posting her old LV auctions in the AUTHENTICATE THIS thread in the LV forum and ask if they are actually authentic (even with the limited number of pictures, some LV fans can tell). If they are, then you can feel a bit more confident until you receive your bag.

When you do receive your bag, please take pictures of:
1. The HINGE portion of the metal D in front of the bag
2. A good picture of the metal D in front of the bag
3. The interior logo lining
4. The leather flap inside the bag that says Christian Dior PARIS
5. The underside of the inside leather flap

I hope you got an authentic one!

From my experience with other brands i'm pretty positive it is authentic..as you asked,it is made of very hard and heavy material,it is not cheap plastic.It can be deformed,that's why it doesn't fit me.The rhinestones are of a wonderful quality,so bright and shimmery that i couldn't help to fall in love when i first saw it...if i had ever thought it was a fake,i'd i just asked a refund and returned it to the seller from the start,even because it was a quite expensive item.I never ever really doubted about its authenticity,but i wanted to double check before putting it on sale.You told me the same things i had in mind...thanx a lot for your great help!!

If so, is this the medium size which is shown on christiandior.com? I know there is a small, a medium and a double gaucho.

I believe that is the small. the medium doesn;t have a zipper on the back pocket and is a slightly slouchier (is that a word) shape. The medium has rings on the strap, this one is lacking that. Also, the seller claims the original price is less than a grand. I know the medium is in the $1500-$1600 range depending on the leather. I haven't seen a small in person so it's hard for me to say for sure. If the differences are consistant with a small it looks pretty good. Anyone else seen a small Gaucho?

This absolutely adorable Gaucho bag is authentic.

It's called the mini Gaucho and it retailed for $950 when it was on Eluxury (it was on Eluxury for 3 days and then it sold out). It comes in almost all of the materials of the Gaucho including washed leather, python, and crocodile. It's one of the bags on my wish list but I haven't purchased it yet because it's a bit small and I haven't found one for a good price yet.

If you check the Celebs and their Dior's thread you'll see Misha Barton with a brown version of this version of the Gaucho.

Not only is it super fake...it's really ugly! If you've seen the real Hardcore Dior bags, you'll see what I mean. This bag looks deformed, and the monogram is an ugly black and white (Dior does not use that much contrast in their monograms). I think I also see a big stain on the flap...it's yellowish in appearance and on the right of the picture.

Hi Latest Obsession!

I'd wait if I were you. I've actually seen this for cheaper on Ebay, and although those may not be new they're close enough to mint condition. You can save around $200 more if you wait.

It actually scares me that some people can think that this is real...If anyone pays upwards of $1000 on a purse, she should expect quality that she can see from a picture. As for the bag in this auction (as well as some other Ebay auctions), the quality looks horrible even from the pictures...some details are horribly croaked. Maybe some people have the idea that a designer bag is just a handbag (with comparable quality to handbags that you can get at Wal-Mart) that has a brand name logo on it.

Thanks mayday! I think i will wait. I actually want the medium sized gaucho but none of the stores seem to have the red color. Just black, khaki and cream. I'm looking for a red bag and this would be perfect. I'll wait though!
