![]() The lady dior first came out around 1995 as in October 2005 they released the 10th anniversary bag and the earliest dior bag that I have seen with a serial number is 1995/1996 so if a bag is pre this date then there will be no serial number/date code, just the stamped tag. Also some of the real early ones may not have had serials either. The bag itself in question I can't say anything is jumping out concerning me other than the fact that if it is meant to be 2002 then there should be a serial number/date code which leads me to believe that it is much older than stated and the wrong authenticity card was both sent and displayed in the auction. Maybe she thought people would prefer to see an authenticity card with it and threw any old card in ![]() Judging by the zipper pull, tag style etc I suspect this is an older vintage bag therefore some characteristics are not going to be exactly the same as modern day lady dior's. |

Per Post #50 Whew! What a great response Chic...I was planning to type something similar...maybe great minds do think alike...hehe....j/k. I am not sure what to think about this Lady Dior either. The screws seem good, tag has contrasting top stitch and so forth. With regards to the inner tag, it is also stitched on all four sides, which would indicate it is possibly a newer bag...hmmm. I believe most of the older Dior "Lady Dior" bags that I have seen do not have the stitching upon all four edges of the inner tag; just a thought. It does appear the authenticity card may have not come with the bag originally. I wonder if the owner could telephone the Dior store listed upon the back of the authenticity card and confirm what style bag actually corresponds with it or request any information possible? Could the owner tell us what the brand of zipper is utilized within the bag...if you look upon the backside of the metal zipper used to close the bag it should be engraved with something. Well, best wishes and happy holidays!

Hello ! I'm new to this forum and hope I'm posting my question correctly. I have been hunting for the large Dior Saddle Bag all over the place and found a lot of fakes. Thanks to a lof of helpful hints and comments, I was able to detect some quickly.
But on this one, I'm not sure at all. The coin looks genuine, although it is hard to see the 'dots' clearly, or Dior's face. Anybody out there who can help ? I really, really love this bag ! Thanks, appreciate your help. Hiiri http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=150191305434&ssPa geName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=005 |

I've attached more photos as reference. The first two are of the stitching of the handles. And the third I've tried to show the interior pocket zipper - there are three Cs in a circle. Please feel free to forward your thoughts. Thanks bunches! ![]() ![]()
