I have had Bear Paws in the past and 2 years ago I threw them away and bought Uggs. The lining of the BP got matted and stiff and they lost their shape within 6 months of regular wear. I adore my Uggs! The lining is still soft, they hold their shape well and they seem like they are higher quality. I also got mine at TJ Maxx for 59.99. I would be careful though b/c I was in TJ the other day and they had a lot of Ugg knockoffs.

WOW, I am not so sure that I like their return policies... very limited...
I think I would stick to a more established online retailer if you are going to order online... Has anyone checked out overstock.com? They may have some there... |

I was on Amazon getting a book and out of curiosity I checked on Uggs and a few other items.......
They have uggs and emu brand there at what appear to be much better prices... Also found handbags......... I never ever thought to use them for anything but books and dvd's.... |

Thanks so much for all your input! Since most of you say that Emu's are very much like Uggs, I decided to get those instead. They're less expensive, and to me they do look just like Uggs. So i decided to order the EMUs from Endless.com. they have free overnite shipping so will let you know how i like them tomorrow!

If you aren't too stuck on the label, Cosco has amazing tall genuine sheepskin boots for $35 that are actually better made than this year's Decker UGG tall. I own real UGGS from the 1980's that I bought in California and also own Sundance II in distressed brown and sand. They have them in Black, Dark Brown, Wheat (same as Sand) and Chestnut. For that price you can get them in all 4 colors and still spend less than you would on UGGs. I own EMU's too and while I love them, I find that they weigh more than UGGs and aren't as flexible or as soft. Many EMUs are not sheepskin but leather LINED in sheepskin. They are heavier and are actually a bit more water repellent than UGGS once they are treated.
If you are thinking of bidding not buying, beware of fakes on THAT auction site. The majority of them are not genuine UGGs but are counterfits made in China and drop shipped. However, if you really want to buy the UGG brand, I have bought boots from Williamtsweet whose store is Boots Shoes and Things. He buys from the UGG outlet in California. I called them and they really do exist but unfortunately they don't sell over the phone The three pairs I bought from this vendor are genuine but his prices have gone up since last year. Also, if you aren't sure of your size, try them on b4 you buy because I range from size 7 to an 8 in most footwear but wear a 6 in the classic, round toed UGGs made in suede and a 7 in the one's with the round toe made in leather. I wear a 6 or a 7 in EMUs depending on the style. Buy a really good waterproofing spray and spray at least two times before you even think of wearing them outside. PLMK if by doing this I've violated any PF policies because I'm a newbie and don't want to get booted off. Forgive me if I have sinned! |
