I just paid full price at Nordstrom this morning getting a pair for my daughter. Her birthday is later this week and she wanted the two-tone purple/burgundy pair. They were $140.00 plus tax. Everyone at my local mall had them for the same price. I know Wayferer's are VERY popular right now and I rarely see that particular style on sale anywhere.

I got her an all white pair last year for her birthday. I got them at a eye care store in the mall. I just happened to ask if they offered any discounts and they let me use my AAA (Triple A) discount which brought them down from $140 to $115. I went there first today but they didn't have the exact pair she wanted.

I was lucky enough to find three pair of vintage Wayfarer's at a garage sale a few months back! All three from the wife of a Ray-Ban collector and they dated back to the early 70's! They were PERFECT and came complete with the cases and all. I paid $1.00 for each pair! I sold two pair on eBay (made a killing!) and let her keep the all black pair for herself.

Good luck with your search! But definitely try an eye-care store if you have AAA.

you could try just asking for a discount. i know that sounds silly, but when i was at the sunglass hut after the holidays my dad wanted a pair of clubmasters (he's worn them forever and is in his late 50's) and i wanted the cat eyes as a gift for a friend. i asked the girl if that was the best price she could do and she said she'd give me 25% off as long as i came back and bought them from her. i don't know how she did that or if she's the manager or what, but it worked for me!

I second this sighting.. This is where I bought my 1 pair of wayfarers and 1 pair of 3016 Clubmasters. They seem to always have pairs of current Raybans including popular stayles. Once of the once I bought did have a slight prescription.

Buy them online at eyesave or fast sunglasses. I made the mistake of buying ray bans from sunglass hut years ago a paid full retail price, never again! The online stores have a better selection of colors and sizes than any brick & mortar store too. Free shipping and no sales tax and priced way below retail. I've never paid more than $90 total for a pair.

^^ fastsunglass.com sells FAKE Ray Ban's (and glasses). If you pay by credit card - your card will be billed to this company:

SUNGLASS TRADER INC. - Jupiter Fla.

Well I looked up THEIR website and indeed:

http://www.sunglassestrader.com/

They sell "best quality fake sunglasses". I have an authentic pair of Ray Ban aviators and another pair purchased from www.fastsunglass.com/sunglassestrader.com - and they're TOTALLY fake. They're okay fakes, but they cost $25.00 on the FAKE website and $100.00 on the COVER website = same glasses. Dumb mistake.

I use Gooddens.com. They are like a sporting goods store that sells lots of sunglasses too, I've had very good experiences with them personally..... and their prices are very reasonable.

The sunglasses I received from fastsunglass are not fake. I own half a dozen pairs of rayban aviators & clubmaster and these match perfectly. They arrived in the proper sealed rayban/luxottica box with the correct case, booklets, serial numbers. Perhaps the company has another site but the ones I received are def. real. Sorry you got burned but I did not.

I want to add they are an authorized rayban dealer.

I've been window shopping for Raybans too on *bay, but just hesitant because there prices are so good to be true. Maybe they're all FAKES & you thought you got a good deal but if it's FAKE, you just got rip off big time. FAKES sell for $5 on the streets of NY.

What do you think of Polarized, is it worth it to spend extra for that? It's suppose to minimize glare.

Solstice is currently having their friends and family 25% off. Ray-Ban is not on the exclusion list. I know most branches carry Wayfarers, got a pair for my sister last year from them. Try outlets too maybe?
