I would open one on the first weekend of the sale. That way, you get double points. I opened mine on the first day of the sale three years ago.

I didn't make level 2 this year, but I'm going to presale with my level 2 friend today. To me, they shouldn't expect a whole bunch of level 2's since the economy tanked in the last year. This sale is when I spend the most on my card all year anyway.

that's weird that so many of you have not been able to see the pre-sale items. i went in to the pleasanton, ca store and they asked me if i wanted to check out the pre-sale (and i don't have a Nordstrom card). the girl was so sweet and shopped around with me, looking for stuff for herself! haha. the next day i went to the walnut creek, ca store and they also asked if i wanted to see the pre-sale rooms. walnut creek is set up differently than pleasanton, so each department has their own pre-sale room. she took my friend and i to each room/ dept. we asked to see. i am NOT shopping for a LONG time!!

The TBs are cute, there are a couple of bags I'd like to see IRL, but I long for the must have items of a couple of years ago when the sale included Phillip Lim and Milly coats and items you would be less likely to afford once the Fall season was in full swing. The white and grey long pearls are a good price but I have them

I don't know. I'm kind of underwhelmed. Maybe its because I'm pregnant, and I feel like I can't get any clothes. I'm going to stock up on tights for January when I go back to work, but other than that, I only saw a few things that I'm anxious to look at in person. I just keep reminding myself that there's stuff in the room that's not in the catalog, or at least there was last year!

2 hours and 22 minutes until my appointment!

Yup, the catalog definitely doesn't show everything that's going to be on sale.
