I was told that on Saturday Nordstroms will be doing a special instore mascara promotion:

Buy 2 Get 1 Free Promotion!! For one day only, this Saturday, Nov 7th buy two mascaras and get one of the same brand of equal or lesser value free. Excludes lash primers.

but why would you need 3 mascaras? dont they dry out?

If you don't open them they stay good, or so the rep tells me.

I preordered 3 a week or so ago. The rep who sold them to me said that last year when they did this she bought 30!!! She's gone through 20 so far.

I've had some unopened for at least year and when I went to use them, they weren't dried out. Also, mascara should be replaced every two-three months. So, this way, when it's time to replace, you'll already have your replacement. Some people layer mascara, too. They may use a lengthing mascara on top of a voluminizing mascara. So, as long as they're the same brand, you could try some different types.

I pre-ordered the Chanel waterproof mascara last week, and it looked amazing when I tried it on at the store. Can't wait to pick it up.

This is a pretty good deal - but online only has a few brands.

Does anyone know if all brands are included in-store? or are there in-store exclusions as well?

I'm looking for the Guerlain Le2.
