Last year Saks was giving out $400 GC for buying 2 handbangs (or one handbag and one wallet) worth $1000 or more... Was truly hoping that the same will happen this year also, but it didn't.
This is one is OK, but it isn't not $400.

I think it is a good deal after geting confirm from online chat. There is no brand exclusion. Only regular price merchandise---it is OK I CAN BUY UGG

Interesting. So it's not like anything you get with this sale is non-returnable, you just forfeit the gift card if you return... at least that is my understanding. Gah! I hate buying shoes online, but desperate times call for desperate measures, and I would feel better knowing I could return them if they didn't fit.

I wonder what they mean by "offer valid only for the owner of [this] email address." That statement was in the offer I rec'd too. Maybe someone should check with nm to be sure they'll get the gc even if they didn't receive the offer.

Hi guys,

I am so disappointed now that I have to share with my fellows here in this forum.

NM had a beauty event on Sept09 that offered $100 CG if purchase $500 Cosmetic. I was so thrill to make an order of $500. Then NM itself cancelled one item that decreased the total cost to 470 few weeks later. When I chatted with an associate, she informed that I am not qualified for the CG. Even though I wanted to place an order for another item instead of that item to make my order back to $500.

To my opinion, this is not fair to any customer. If anyone should purchase for $1000 to get a GC, then NM just goes ahead and cancels one $20 item and NM does not need to fulfill its Promotion?

Maybe my sole voice in this case will be ignored but I feel so cheated. It is not the money but the way customers are treated, and the way NM conduct their "fantastic" deal.

Purchasing from NM online for more than 6 years, this is the first time I experienced this situation.

Hope no one has to go through this.

I decided to say to heck with their dumb Gift Card thing and I am praying that Gucci will be included in the "Private Sale" as it has been every other year.

I think the policy with Gucci and Prada is that the 1st cuts have to be after a certain date.. I am worried because Gucci does not have their sale until early December and Neiman's sale is in mid/late November. I wonder if the dept. stores cannot discount before Prada and Gucci themselves discount their merchandise..

That's crazy given it was the fault of NM that you didn't get the $20 item.

This is absurd. If I were you I would return EVERY item that you purchased from them. They don't deserve your money.

If you wish to pursue it, you may be able to call back and ask for a supervisor and make a complaint, then they may reconsider.

Thank you for all your replies. It is nice that there is someone understands me. I really want to return every item but they are gifts for my Mom and I even promised her the $100 GC. Anyway, I guess I just want everyone to be careful with these promotions and always get better deals.
