yeah, the last one they had was NOT worth it compared to the one before that. I really loved the first one, but the last one was such a let down I don't care much to go anymore.

They had some purses but honestly, nothing to shout about. Their regular stuff was okay and there were some good bargains. Still, I thought that their prices were a little high and people were complaining. I will go if it's on a weekend but it's not worth my time to miss work for this. Maybe this year will be better but I'm not sure. |

I went to the one this fall and it was ok. Went on the last day, and it was very, very chill (although I heard the 1st day was chaos) with about 5 leather jackets left and quite a few leather vests (which were around 100-200 I think?). Lots of dresses, shirts, coats, and quite a few hoodies left. The prices were so-so: there were some great deals ($35 for past season's hoodies, but they were all gone by the last day), and some ok deals ($35 for sleeveless hoodies, $75 for current season hoodies, $50-75 for dresses). About an hour after I got there, they announced that all dresses were reduced to $50. Unfortunately they didn't cut any other prices while I was there, but there were still about 3 hours to go when I left. Prices are definitely better than ebay.
I still can't decide if I want to go and fight the crowds. I'll most likely just stay home and study for finals (and save my $$ for the Ella Moss/Splendid sale). |

^ The fall sale was bad compared to the one earlier that spring. Earlier in the spring, they had a large amount of hoodies for 25 and 35, a rack of stuff that was for 10 (which was the same selection available for the fall sale), and had canvas franklin coats for 60 (but had faded shoulders so they were sold for 45), mm...leather hoodies were the same, for 400/500 (damaged/not) the rest of the hoodies were 45-65. Nothing was over 80 (besides the leather). The fall sale had a big difference in prices--i recall this girl seeing Mike himself last time and wanted to go up to him because she was so upset. Anyways, compared to retail, theyre o-k priced...but nothing to die for.

I just got back from the sale a couple of hours ago! I was there at 9 and there were a few people in front of me already. It was chaotic! I dunno how this compares to past sample sales because this was honestly my first mike & chris sample sale, but for me, it went superrrrr well. I found a TON of stuff i liked and in my size, but only because I'm really good at finding stuff. I also brought 2 other people with me- one person who was also looking for stuff, and a second who was really there just to hold our stuff and claim a corner until we were ready to go look at our findings and try them on. I found about 10 things, but only walked away with 3 since prices were astonishingly high. leathers were 600.
everyone basically rushed to the leather rack and all the leathers were taken and tried on, thrown on the floor, tried on again...etc... and many people actually stood by my friend and i while we tried our stuff on since we got a LOTTTT of good leathers. my most exciting find was a black leather jacket that i knew EVERYONE was envying as i walked by with it. it wasn't actually on the leather rack...which was weird but i was squealing with glee when i found it, checked the tag, saw that it was my size (XS) and held on to it with my firmest grip. besides that, i got a dress in S for 98 and the barkley nylon jacket in XS for 165. there were quite a few barkleys and all in small sizes. everything else was mostly M or L. i also saw a lot of nylon jackets, leather skirts/pants, some shoes, and a few purses. they also had A MEN'S SECTION! i was pretty surprised but for all you male tpf-ers here, be aware that were were only about 5 guys total there in a HUGE mass of girls, so plenty of men's stuff still available. when people first got in, it was chaotic: hangers getting caught on other people, squishing your way through, no way you could move unless you wiggled your way through. overall, it was pretty good, but only because i managed to find the 2 jackets i almost bought at retail...and i got all 3 things at a price LESS THAN the leather jacket by itself at retail. it also still had the tag on it so im assuming it wasn't worn or anything, just displayed to wholesale buyers. for those going laters, be aware that they didn't restock as often as i thought they would, but they DID bring out a couple more leathers out...maybe after finding them in the back or something. so there's still hope! |

"DO NOT GO" is the only advice I have for everyone. I went this morning and when I saw the prices I just left and did not buy anything at all. At one point, I had 3 leather jackets. But, seriously the jackets were $600 a pop. One of the jackets I got for a little over $400 at Ron Sherman. Overall you can get cheaper stuff from sales through ShopBop, Tobi, just to name a few.
