Thanks OP for posting!
Only Saks have this benefit, so if your shipping address is out of TX there's no tax.

Also can someone tell me what a Major Purchase Account is? I have a Saks card and the Saks visa card.. is that the same thing?
There's no minimum monthly payment, you can pay off the balance at the very last day (of interest free promo), or as many payments as you wish. MPA is for large purchases, you definitely qualify for it since you are a Saks card holder

I still don't get it what is MPA? Is this a different account that only for the major purchase, like more expensive purchase? How do I apply one?

Does anyone happen to know when the points earned "gift cards" are sent out? I'm thinking of cancelling my Saks MC since they will be raising the rates so high. Thanks for your helpful reply.

if you are plantium and up card hold, you can request card any time, no need to wait till next year.

it's separate account, as long as the total in one receipt ( last year, not sure this year) is over $2000, you are eligible to apply the card.

Is it possible to get a Saks Store Card and open an MPA on the same day or do you have to wait a certain amount of time? I've been holding off getting the card because I wanted to use the 10% off for something good.

It does seem like a pain to open up whatever the MPA is and we can't just use our existing accounts =\ but with a chanel price increase looming (sometime in 2010 possibly) i think it might be worth it! I'm not sure if I'm going to take advantage of it yet

you don't have to open a MPA account if you choose to charge it on regular Saks account for this Triple Points promo, but MPA have a higher limit and it's interest free for 12 month<---much better than regular Saks account IMO. I dont' recall filling out any forms to get the MPA, my SA simply told the manager I need one and it's open It was about 3 years ago, things could've change though.

For the sale part- it says 30-40% off. Does anyone know what will be on sale?

The whole promo is Triple Point PLUS MPA But if you choose not to open a MPA, you can still get the triple points by charge it on normal Saks account.

this is the private night sale at Saks

30-40% off USUAL EXCLUSIONS of Chanel anything, Louboutin shoes, probably Gucci anything, Prada anything, LV anything etc...but I dont have the official list

40% off Designer RTW apparel

not sure about the other departments but im just gathering stuff now for my SA and giving her the SKU/links online and size/color

I have an AWESOME SA

Cindy Anton
248-933-8109
cindyanton1@yahoo.com

Tell her Cory sent you and she works with me via email/phone all the time

BUT PLEASE give her a list of things you want compiled already with as much info as possible, I usually try to get her the SKU or style name/size/color or link from Saks.com it helps make the process much faster :)
