I'll just be slightly careful with them because of their track record. I, for one, probably wouldn't buy from them again, and I think neither would quite a number of other TPFers (I've bought from them about 8-10 times, and service consistently deteriorated).

Thanks for sharing. I had bad experience with them too. It took them 3 whole weeks to ship my items but they charged my card right away. I emailed them with no solid response. So I called..tried many times before SO answered.
Since a lots of bags at decadetwo are sooo hard to come by, I decide to try them one more time but that before I went back to check your link.
I never known they changed their return policy for store credit only! Definitely No No for me then.

I've heard of a lot of people getting frustrated with the customer service at sites like hautelook, but from someone who has worked for many years in the retail and customer service industry, I'm going to offer a bit of a different perspective...

I'm a member at a bunch of sites like hautelook, and service is pretty nonexistant across the board. But you have to realize that when you're paying substantially less than retail value, you just can't expect much out of the customer service department. And if you log onto sites like gilt.com even 15 minutes after their sales start, a lot of items are already completely sold out. So I would imagine that it's not terribly easy for them to keep up with that kind of demand (should they adapt? Yes, but at the prices they're charging, they just might not have the resources).

As long as you know what you're getting yourself into, you'll hardly be disappointed. The last time I ordered from hautelook, it took them over two weeks to ship, but it's not like they messed up the order or delivered an inferior product. At prices that are often hundreds of dollars below retail, I'll gladly wait a week or two extra. And for someone who abhors cheap clothing and bags but is about to start law school and is now living on a much smaller budget, these kinds of websites are an absolute GODSEND.
