yes, this is what I want too.. I want to buy Chanel handbag, but they are going to raise the price next month

I asked my SA because I was interested in this and apparently it happens only twice a year. Next one will be March/April 2010 of next year, so after the price increase :(

Whats even worse is that they won't even consider me for a credit card because I'm in Canada :(

^^ They'll give you a card; I think you just need to be in the store to get it (so you can show them your ID).

Thats what the customer service rep said on the phone..that they cannot process it online/phone, but I can go down to get one.

I was frustrated because it would be difficult to coordinate the 15-20% off, and drive down to the usa to get the card, and ensure they have the Chanel bag I want

so...I emailed them venting, and then they replied
"I do apologize we are unable to accept applications that are outside the United States. It is our policy at this time. We do appreciate your business and hope you will continue to shop at Bloomingdale's in the future."

i dunno if that means they can't AT ALL, or if they mean the application can not be sent from outside the states

That is frustrating.

I think they can't process 'international' applications at all unless you're present. I had to apply for CCs in person even though I live in the US now.

Supposedly w/ current economy condition they should eager to give us (customers) more discount right? haha....
