Well I was in Louis Vuitton the other day and the Associate told me top sellers will be coming from USA starting in November. Oh well!

I was told the same thing at two different stores last week. They both said this was already the case though. I was told it will get harder to get " made in France" bags unless you were buying in europe.

there is no difference in quality so I do not know why are people so sad when they see a made in usa or made in spain bag. i am from europe so my bags are made in france but i really do not care where are they made as long as they are well made.

Totally agree! All of my bags are made in USA and I love them

I've been carrying LV for years and until I started reading comments here on TPF about made in USA vs France...I've never thought about the difference. When I go to Paris I am sure I will pick up a LV there just for nostalgia but it is so not important where my bag is made. Just my two cents.

I prefer MIF as well, only because thats where the design house originated from. Many of my bags are MIUSA though because its very hard to find a MIF in the U.S. However, I just purchased a new Artsy and it is MIF! My SA, and actually all the SA's in the store were speechless to have found a MIF bag and an Artsy no less! They also say that the most in demand bags are being produced over here for distribution in the U.S. It will get extremely difficult to be able to find a MIF.

I was about to pull the trigger on a cute 25 yesterday at a great price. only reason I didn't cause it was made in USA. I think *maybe* for resell value MIF is impt and easier to sale.

A little late the the discussion, but this thread just happened to hit on my burning question... Over here in Japan MIF (or MIS) is the ONLY desireable type of item. There is a large market for resale of used items and by far I have seen MIF (MIS) items go for much higher prices. In fact, sellers often make disclamers for Made in the USA items. If the quality is the same, I don't understand this type of discrimination... Or at least why feel obligated to tell a customer before hand that the item is a Made in the USA??
