Hi, Im a newbie to the forum so bear with me..I searched this topic but didn't see it covered. I purchased the damier azur speedy 35 the other day, and I was so excited I didnt really pay atention, but when I got home I gave it a real close inspection and noticed the leather tab by the zipper says Made in the USA. I was thinking that all LV bags were made in France. I called the store and they said most of their speedy bags in the Northeast are made in USA and it would be hard for me to find one Made in France. I puchased the bag at Tysons Corner mall in Virginia, BTW..Anyways, I cant really say why but I am guess Im a little dissapointed? I have several other LV bags and they all say Made in France. I am sure the craftsmanship is just as good in the US...I was just curious if most of yours are Made in USA or France. It is probably no big deal. The other thing I noticed is that the bag I tried on in the store was the same bag they gave me. It already had a lock attatched..do you think that means it was a return? I assumed they would give me a fresh one from the back. I was so excited I didnt pay attention. Sorry to ramble on, thanks for listening!

It really makes no difference where your bag is from. I have bags that were made in france and from USA

Hi.. you have a valid point! I have seen this topic covered a few times before and there is always a mix of opinions.
You are not alone when you say you are disappointed that your bag is made in USA.

I guess it seems more exotic and natural to think all the bags should be made in the country where LV first originated.

Personally, YES, it does make a difference to me. Although I don't believe it, some ppl have stated that LV produced in the US is subpar to the lines produced in France and Spain. (Not sure if there is proof to back this up, or if it's just speculation)
Why does it make a difference to me? Well, it's purely superficial.. but, I want my French bag coming from... France!

got my speedy from the same place and it's a usa also. they were no big deal to me after the 1st. my noe was made in france.i have since had bags in usa france and spain, although i believe only 2 are usa. doesn't matter to me anymore. my usa one is my everyday bag and i love it. never had any issues and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I have two speedys - one made in France, one in the US. There is no difference in quality (at least, not that I've noticed). It doesn't matter to me where it's made, as long as it's real!

It's funny because I thought I was the only one who felt disappointed when I was given a made in USA bag! I just feel that if we are buying a French bag, it should be made there! I haven't seen a difference in quality or anything.. but still, I would much rather france! I have heard though, that very few fakes say anything OTHER than france, so I guess it's ok to have something saying USA since very few fakes have it.

I don't have a speedy, but all my LV's (Except my sunglasses) were made in France. I know it dosen't matter, but to me, a made in france bag is somehow "better". I know that sounds stupid.

I have a Damier Speedy 30 and it said made in France. I think normally when LV first launch a new bag, the first batch would be from France. Then as the demand of this bag goes higher, LV starts to make the bag in either USA or Spain.

My Roses Speedy is made in the USA and my Damier Ebony Speedy is made in France. I was thinking about buying a Damier Azur Speedy and I really wanted one made in France. I called the 866 number to inquire about this and they told me to work with my local LV. Well, I went and told the SA what I was looking for and she said finding a Speedy in the USA that is made in France is like trying to find a needle in a haystack and I was pretty much out of luck unless I could find one in a LV that just happened to be made in France!!! I was so shocked by her lack of effort and mad especially considering I bought my Damier Ebony Speedy there not that long ago and it IS made in France! UGH...
