My mono 30 is made in the USA and my moms is made in France. I compared the two and discovered that my moms is sewn perfectly and that mine is not. I actually had to laugh when I saw them side by side. I never even noticed how badly mine looked till it was sitting next to hers...go figure

My '08 Neverfull GM was made in France. '07 speedy 35 France. '08 Damier and Azur Speedy 35s USA. '08 Tivoli GM that is on its way France.

I can't tell any difference in quality from my France or USA bags. Personally, I try to buy as much as possible in the good ole USA. I feel it's important to support my country's manufacturing. So, if possible, I'll take a Made in USA over France if given the option.

I just got the same exact bag (Speedy Damier Eboney 35) yesterday and the SA told me that the speedies that are made in France are returned bags from customers who had bought them in Europe and otherwise all speedies sold in the US are made here. That's fine but what I don't understand is how difficult it is to get an SA to even do the search for you. They get very defensive and lecture you like you're a child. Sheesh! I've even called around to other stores and some basically told me that there isn't any way they could check the stock and others that I have to physically come to the store for them to do the check. So I have to do a lot of legwork and may come up with nothing!

I still love my bag to death but I just don't understand what's up with the attitude?

I confess and I feel stupid saying it, but I like my bags to be Made in France....I know, I know.....

MIF for my Azur speedy 30, bought the first batch in 06. There are speedies also made in Italy if it's special edition
