The "datecode" that everyone is obsessed about is not necessarily easily visible to the consumers' eyes. This is to prevent rampant counterfeiting. As a matter of fact, LV does not want us to see it- it may or may not be present.

I just bought a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM....the date code reads SP0012, but I thought this bag wasn't released until 2007? Can someone please help me with this?

Is it possible for a zippy wallet to not have a date code? A seller on ebay is insisting that she took it to her local LV boutique and was told by the SA that not all LV's have a date code stamp.

The Authenticators can confirm for sure, but I believe almost every LV bag, wallet, SLGs, etc have a date code--I think even charms have date codes too.

I bought Louis Vuitton Irene style...long time ago in ebay. I have been told that it is authentic. Inside the small pocket has date code DR0061. I really want to know if its real authentic. Can someone help? Sorry I dont know how to attach pictures, I'm just new here in the purse forum.
