Ilovepurse007: AR0098 can't be legit... that would mean that the item was made in France of the 9th week of 2008, with the new date code format.
I concur with John~ Maybe the numbers are hard too read?

So that's a new date code format. How to read the old format?

What John is saying is that that datecode is not accurate for a discontinued item. It should read something along the lines of VI 1905. for example. That would mean October 1995. the first and third spots are for the month. The second and last for the year.

I am sorry the date code should be AR0998, so it should be Sept, 1998, right?
TIA

^^^ No prob.

It's sad when sellers steal the date code pics from other auctions and claim them as their own...

Could someone help me decipher this date code: AR 1905?
Does it mean made in France? It's for a epi petit noe I'm debating to get from eBay.

TIA

AR1905 is a legit date code.

The bag was made in France in October of 1995.
