Just got a LV Monogram Papillon 19 from a reputable website-- which guarantee authencity and have a return policy.

I believe the bag is a fake for two reasons

1) I can not find the date code-- I researched it here in the reference library and it seems to stated that this bag goes with another bag- sold as a set therefore it does not have a datecode. It is stamped Made in france
is this true?

2) the other problem is that the dust bag is a fake. It is thin and have pink lettering smugding away.

I call the reputable website and inform them of what I thought. They will take it back-- I am correct to think its a fake.

any input would be appreciated.

This sounds more like an authenticity issue. I'd post this in the authentication sticky in the LV Shopping section.

There are LV factories in France, Spain, USA, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland.

Made in Spain in October of 2005.
Prior to 2007, 1st/3rd numbers are the month, 2nd/4th numbers are the year.
After 2007, the 1st/3rd numbers represent the week of the year.

Check all seams, it may be hard to see so you might need a flashlight.

I'm sorry in advance if this question has already been answered, tried a search of the site but couldn't find it. I'm just wondering where the date code is located on the Mono Galliera Pm? I have literally searched the bag&cannot find it, am sure it's probably staring me in the face but would greatly appreciate any help!!
