Is it possible for my Trevi PM, Made in the USA, to have a date code SO 302?

Yes, it's possible. There are LV factories in France, Spain, Italy, USA, Switzerland, and Germany.

Hmm... that date code isn't legit. Can you post a pic of the date code?

The prefix for most LV's made in USA is "SD", so the "O" might actually be a "D"? The numbers from date codes that are heat stamped on alcantra lining sometimes get confused with other numbers, so I'm thinking that the 2 might be a 7? I have a feeling the date code might read "SD3007" instead of SO 302...?

I was trying to take a photo, but it's really difficult. And the stamp already looks like it's fading!
Hmm, I'll try again.
Thanks

It's normal for date codes to fade, especially on ones that are heat stamped on alcantra lining.

If you're taking the pics with the flash on, try not using the flash this time and taking the pics under sunlight instead.

Also, turn the macro mode on (button with little flower next to it) to ensure that a clear, up-close pic is taken.

Hi there!

I have seen a Soana Sac Plat, made in Italy with date code FO 1016. Is this possible?

Also, is there any possibility that one date code been used for a few articles?

Yes, FO1016 is a valid date code which means it was made in Italy in November of 2006.

Date codes aren't specific to one bag. They state when/where a bag was made, so again, it's normal for bags to have the same date code.

Default LV Sac Shopping GM
Hi everyone,
i'm a proud owner of a Sac Shopping GM (W about 24''). I'm so interested to know it's age (i can post some pics if it can hep). I get it from my mum and she told me it's been bought in the late 80 (maybe early 90). Is there anyone who can tell me the exact year of the born of this baby? Is it considerated a vinatge bag (or just a discontinued item)?
Many thanks

Date code for a bag past 90's? Speedy 30 (found two opposite of the pocket) called a rep, stated to me on the phone very sternly, date codes are moved around there is no consistent place...so he says *rolls eyes* and the fact that a bag from 87 *my speedy* has 874 could mean yes its from the french co. and the 874 is the Euro way to say april of 87....though my papilion I cannot find the datecode to save my life, not that I care to much knowing that its real (both bags)...um anywho just my experience again datecodes are moved around a lot...hope it helps?

Early 90s

Check for date code where strap joins bag - pull strap out a bit, may be on strap leather facing leather on bag
