We finally fired up our Kindle we purchased from Amazon.com. It is amazing. Does anyone else have one of these? We are loading it up with books right now but you can also access most any newspaper in the world. I think I'm gonna have a new obsession.

DH has been on it for hours. It just died once but I think its because he used up the battery! He has it plugged in now and it is working fine. So far, so good!

bagsnshoos, do you have to pay for newspaper access? The idea is neat but I love the *feel* of books and paper too much!! I've seen Kindles and they look pretty neat. The screen is easier to read than I thought it would be.

Is it pretty easy to read? What about battery life? This would be awesome for traveling - I normally have about 4 or 5 books with me - they can get quite bulky! I want one!

I'd love to invest in one in the future. I find that while I do love/enjoy the feeling of having a physical book in hand, I read eBooks just as easily.

I don't have it (yet), but have been wanting it since it first came out!
I'm hoping to get it for myself in the next few months (maybe it will be a Christmas gift to myself xD). I have always loved things like this and had an older electronic book reader years ago, but this is just so beyond any of those old ones, it blows my mind a bit. I know I'll have tons of fun with it when I finally buy one.

Cool! I've never heard any real nitty gritty feedback from them so this is great...keep it up!

DH has one and loves it. I was really surprised to see how the screen looks just like the real paper. He pays $9 (I think?) for a book and I can't be happier that he has the Kindle so we won't have boxes and boxes and boxes of books around!

Very cool! I'm kind of confused as to how it works though
Do you hook it up to your computer to buy the books or does it kinda work like a cell phone?
