i switched from tmobile to at&t just last friday and my DH and i each got a white 16GB iphone! the very next day, i started to have probs with mine. DH and i would both be in the same room and his internet would work yet mine wouldn't. i also had probs with my phone shutting down by itself or if i'm in the middle of talking, the phone would turn off. i took it to the mac store and they said i needed to make an appt with a rep 3 days in advance first! WTF?! i complained to the at&t store where i purchased my phone and they said just to take the phone back to mac and tell them i want a new phone right then and there. no need to make appts or wait for them to "test" it first. does this sound right? i'm really loving the iphone, but i think i got me a "lemon"!

Ah, I figured it out -- plug in the iPhone to the MacBook Pro and open iPhoto. Duh!

My family bought 5 and returned 4 out of 5 for new ones! We became quite efficient at the return process. I recommend that you make an online appointment (availability based on how busy your local Apple store is) at which time, a "genius" associate will look at it (fairly meaningless process) and then demand a new one. We all got new screen protectors, too since we lost them with the return. I did manage to walk in and get one on the spot but had to be a PIA. Also, when the genius asks you if you tried to fix it by restoring it, just tell him you did.

Keeping my fingers crossed on my lone original one!

Does anyone in the UK have any opinions/advice on the iphone? I can upgrade in Nov and am thinking of getting one.

update: i took my iphone back to apple and they switched it out to a new one, hassle free! both DH and i love the iphone so much, can't believe we were palm treo users for so long! now we understand what all the hype over the iphone is all about! LOL

It's always a toughie.... I, as an Apple fan, would push you towards the iPhone.... but since the other is coming out so soon, I suggest waiting, and doing a comparison of the two... It's not a simple choice, especially if you need to change service providers.

yup, i would have to change services - tmo to at&t... my contract expires in december so im willing to switch over to at&t now and let my contract just run it's course for about another month and a half...

im a SAHM so i don't really need the BB emails but i looooooooove sending pic messages to all my fam out of state, so that's the only thing holding me back from the iphone

^^Nope, only through email. I hate that because I used to send photos my family all the time with MMS.

This is probably a really stupid question, and I haven't been able to figure it out yet...

I've noticed that the e-mail function automatically deletes e-mails in your inbox after a few days. Is there a way to stop that? I use my iPhone to access work e-mails, and I hate that I have to sometimes re-forward e-mails to myself.

My fabulous iPhone has decided to do something weird ... I can no longer access the main screen, it's "stuck" on the phone only functions. I've tried turning it on and off, syncing it with my computer and still no luck.

Anyone else have this problem?
