I put a couple of stitches in it to keep it from accidently coming undone and falling off of my purse?
I bought both zebra and cheetah print pony scarves, and while I love how they look on my whiskey satchel - I am terrified of loosing one. |

I thought about getting graffiti scarves and tying them on my jacket and sewing them tied so they don't come loose permanently, but have yet to find the scarfs (ponytail) I need to do it!

Are you going to remove it from the bag? If you do not remove them I think it will be ok but if you do remove them that might be an issue given that they are Silk.

Yeah, I would think it would separate the silk threads. Be careful. Can you double knot?

Maybee you can try cutting then tie on a small (same color little cloth elastic hair band) around the knot part of the scarf. Or somewhere where it could be more secure. Then you don't have to stitch into your scarf and it will be more secure on. Also double knot works pretty good too.

Oh, I just left this tip on the other scarf thread- use double sided garment tape(Hollywood Secret- my favorite- or Maidenform). Tie your knot loosely and slip a little piece 1/2" to an 1" long inside knot and then pull tight. It isn't permanent, its invisible and won't leave holes in the silk and doesn't hurt the fabric. It is very secure and works great! I use it all the time!

I have silk scarves sewn into my t-shirt blanket (blanket made from my college themed t-shirts) that have ripped and now look horrible. I would not suggest it.

Another thing too is I hate when the little "Coach" tag sticks out from my scarf so I just use a little piece of this tape to stick the tag flat onto the scarf. Viola! No more flopping brown tag!
