We're going to be doing a fair amount of travelling in the next months. With all of the changes in baggage restrictions I'm rethinking my usual carry-on suitcase and one of my Large Gallery Totes.
We'll be trekking through quite a few airports on a couple of long flights. My carry-on suitcase is a small wheeled Betsey Johnson leopard print. It's really cute & funky, so don't judge too much by my description !I've found this pouch (borrowed picture) that I thought would be a nice alternative to the big tote. It could be tucked into the wheeled bag, right? I'm thinking I'd like to be more put together and not look like I'm moving! What do you think? Is it too small to be practical or would it be a good solution? Now... I'm 45 and about 5'8, 138 lbs. Honest opinions please. |

Have a swingpak, haven't really bonded with it! If I throw a pasmina on or anything of the like the swingpak just seems to get in the way.

I always carry a bigger bag than I normally do at home when on a plane. I like to keep things handy, like my book to read, candy, ipod, magazines, etc. Also I can fit a sweater or something in it in case I get cold. I guess it depends what you usually carry with you when traveling, but I think the pouch is too small for traveling.

I don't think that it would be too handy, unless you plan on going out a lot on your trip where you don't want to carry a lot of things. (JMO)

ok, i'm slightly obsessed with pouches, as everyone knows.
that is an AWESOME embossed pouch! ![]() now, it depends on your travel style. personally, i like having a big bag with me on flights, where i have stuff like a book, my ibook, candy, socks and stuff to freshen my face and brush my teeth, or make-up if i want to look human at touch-down. but if you don't need any of these, the pouch would be great to hold your passport and wallet and important little things. also, when i'm actually going around sight-seeing or shopping, a pouch would be perfect instead of a large leather bag like my flight bag. someone has also mentioned in the past that a pouch fits more than a swingpack does. ![]() so, think about how you plan on using it. if your travel style fits, go for it! ![]() ps. mmm... months of travel sounds like fun! ![]()

i seriously can not find a use for a pouch.. wont fit on the arm and is annoying to hold. i think something with a longer shoulder strap will be best for travel.. do you really want to hold something all day in an air port?

I've just discovered the joy of pouches, and I think, for travel, it would be a great choice to carry inside a bigger bag, where you would have all of your travel stuff like mags, hand cleanser, pills, etc and just take the pouch out of the bigger bag, when you perhaps leave your hotel room to go for dinner or shop or whatever, since you may just need a wallet, keys, and lipstick and not want to carry a lot of that travel stuff.

I can't seem to find a use for a pouch either. I'm not teeny like dragonette who can put them up on her arm
lol and I think the handle gets in the way for using it like a makeup case or something. I think they are adorable, just not for me.

I Adore pouches and think they are the best things for carrying exactly what you need.. however for travel i would go larger because as everyone else said, you'll want to carry alot with you to keep ouoccupied, but i think you should bring it with you, because if you are sightseeing or something, you won't have to lug a big bag- pouches are very lightweight and small, i think they're cute in the crook of you arm!

I can't find a use for the pouches either, which is why I just last week I returned the one I bought. I was going to use it for makeup but didn't want to get the inside dirty and I could not think of any other practical use.

I actually bought that pouch and then attached a trigger keyfob to the handle to extend it. I can fit a surprising amount in it - much more than a swing pack. PLus i don't like how I get jeans transfer on swing packs.

I think you could definitely use this inside a bigger bag just for your essentials after the airport part of the trip is over like others have suggested! Regardless, it's very cute!
