Tell me about the Legacy satchel...

I keep seeing these ('06, I think) pop up on *bay. I was so in love with them when they came out, but they were just too much for my budget. Now that I can get one, I really want one, but I have no idea how heavy they are. I have some back problems from a car accident, so I can't carry an extremely heavy bag, though I don't usually have any problems with a satchel-style bag.

So if you have (or had) one, please tell me about it! I want to know how heavy they are, whether you really like the style, and whether the dog leash closure plus the zipper make it problematic to open & close the bag all the time.

I have an '06 Legacy shoulder, and it's a substantial bag without all my junk in it. I can only imagine how much more the satchel would be.

My 06 natural legacy satchel is very heavy. The Brass is what makes it very heavy, but the bag is so beautiful it gets non stop doubletakes.

The bag is gorgeous but extremely heavy. I had the pond satchel that was stunning but I just hated the heaviness. I think it was at least 3 pounds empty, LOL!

Thanks for the help! I still love the bag but I'm not sure about the weight. I wish I knew someone who had one that I could "try on" for a bit! Are there any current Coach bags that weigh about the same?
