Size of small new Heritage Stripe Tote

I am really loving the look of the new Heritage Stripe Tote. I am trying to deside between the small and the medium. Can the small one be easily carried on the shoulder?

I tried the small @ Dillards, and it barely fit over my shoulder, the medium is only $40 more and is a perfect size and fits over the shoulder very easy!
