red gallery tote

HI! Does anyone have the red gallery tote? I really love the red leather tote with patent red straps. I really had wanted to get the N/S one. I went to the store yesterday with my brother and tried it on again. My brother said that the shape looked a little s trange - too long or something. I think that the E/W shape looks too much like a work bag though...what do you think? Does anyone have this bag or are you thinking of getting it? if so, which one? Also, I've never owned a gallery tote - how do the straps hold up? are they comfortable? thanks.
