I just got the med. carly w/ turquoise trim for mothers day. Well every few hours i search eBay for my "next great deal". I've came across a good amount of carlys showing really major snagging/tearing at the top of the bag. I mean these snags are like huge holes in the fabric. Is that from abuse or normal wear?? Has anyone had any problems w/ their carly? TIA

I have I used to be able to say no, but my last carly did start to fray a little at the BOTTOM. I also have bought a Carly on eBay that did not state the problem and it also had fraying like the usual at the top. Coach does stand behind it and will send you a full credit if it does happen, but even the managers have said it is fairly common in the Carly.. it's a bummer, I loved that bag!!!

My SIL has a medium chocolate carly that she has used every day since the beginning of December and it has not had any problems with fraying at the top or bottom. Mine is fine too but I only use mine every now and then.

Weird, I've heard of fraying on the bottom but not so much on the tops of carly bags. I figured if I broke down and got one I would be getting an all leather one just to avoid it, but the contrast on the sig/turquoise tortures me..I love it...congrats on your mother's day present pursefanatic85!

I've had mine since the beginning of Jan this year, I carry it everyday, and so far no fraying.

I've had my all chocolate sig since last June and don't have any signs of fraying. I don't use it every day but it's one of my favs so I use it quite a bit. Glad to hear that if it does happen, Coach will stand behind it. That's one of the reasons I'm so loyal to this brand...

ITA! My black and turquoise Carlys still look wonderful, and I love that Coach will stand behind them.
