Question about the heritage tote

For those who have it, Do the handles look like they could get dirty easy or are they treated ? I have some canvas shopping bags with that type handle and they seem to stain or get dirty easily (have kids) Does anyone have that concern or have any imput ? I am thinking of ordering this in the large for the springtime, TIA

Eh....they the pink one has a color of strap that you wouldn't be able to tell if it got a little dirty really. I don't think they are treated or anything.
