Purple Leather Coach in Self mag

There is a VERY purple leather Coach on p. 69 of the August issue of Self (Rebecca Romjin cover). While I'm not a purple girl myself, I know lots of TPF Coachies are :)

Let's hope this works. I quick used my work scanner over lunch. The color is pretty true to what showed in in the magazine, perhaps a little cooler.

Ok. Back to work.

WOW, I didn't know this bag came in purple!

I have this bag in gray I bought as a pilot bag. Baglady has the tophandle in the same legacy line in this purple . It did not look this color from her pics! The color is very pretty!

I love purple and this color is lovely. Coach is calling this color grape
and they are introducing this color in the new Legacy Line coming in late August.

I was thinking the same thing, the purple in this pic is much brighter and rich. I think the one baglady got was called amethyst.

Ok, here's the thing... My bag is WAY darker than that...and is called amethyst. I have the top handle version. BUT....for some reason all pilots in the amethyst color were pulled from the pilot stores, and supposedly I should not have been allowed to order my top handle (my SA pulled it from JAX, as there were about 30 top handles). I was told there was a recall, and supposedly nothing wrong with it other than it might be due to a color change. So my pilot has a chance of being a different purple than what's actually in the magazine. It's hard to tell, but the mag does look a lot lighter and brighter. Here's my top handle...

I prefer the rich violet of the bag in baglady39's picture. xD

I'm not sure how I feel about that bright purple in the magazine... I think it's something I'd have to see in person to gauge.
