Let me say that I am enamored with my patent ergos. I love them soooo much I am thinking abut getting another one, the medium mahogany. Is the patent trend going to die soon? Will my bags look dated in a season? Do I really need 4 patent bags? I don't want 4 bags that will only last a couple of seasons... I don't follow trends, but I don't want to look completely out of touch either.

I have to sell some bags to fund this new purchase, so I want to make a good decision. I am already selling some to kinda offset the spending at the outlet and I would have to sell maybe a large ergo (i have 4!) or my pond satchel since I rarely use it.. but I love it! It just never gets used. I have even thought of selling my Carly! I don't want to do anything irrational though

Well don't get crazy now!!!! Carly's are da BOMB! I would sell the pond satchel if you don't use it much and one of the ergos since you have 4 (pick the one you use least)

I like patent but for me personally I would limit it to one or two bags. I don't really see it as a trend or something that will be out of style but if you love the patent and it's something you will get alot of use out of, I say go for it! I just ordered a patent D&B
because I liked the syle of the bag and I didn't want to spend alot of $$$ on a patent bag I may get tired of eventually.

I just saw that you are thinking of selling a Carly! I have to add that NO I wouldn't sell Carly for a patent mahogany!

I got the Mahogany Patent medium hobo a while ago, and it is stunning! I say go for it. IMO, you can never have enough patent!

Personally, I think you have enough patent bags. I love the patent and have 3 myself - gallery tote, lunch tote and ergo tote - but, I would not get another. I love them, they are great and all, but I think I have enough in my collection right now. However, if you just LOVE LOVE LOVE patent, then the mahogany is really nice. I have the mahogany patent in the gallery tote, and its really a wonderful color.

I have the Gallery Tote in Patet Leather - Mahogany and absolutely love the richness of the color. As far as color goes, it's incredible. I can't speak to the bag though as I don't have an Ergo.

If you love something, go for it. I recall one bag I saw on the shelf that I wanted so badly - to this day I still kick myself for not buying it (and it was on sale!!!) Never again. If I like it, I buy it.

I love the patent but think the ones you have are the most beautiful and would be good with those. Those large hobos look great on you! Personally patent isn't something that I personally would want a lot of, but it is cute. Good Luck in your decision and no I would not sell the Carly for one! If we don't convince you, just look back at your post about Hello Carly where have you been all my life?!? See, I remember!

I'm not going to sell the Carly!! I think I was just going through a moment of temporary insanity!

I have decided to not go for the brown Patent.... I am just going to enjoy the ones I have. I can live without it

good choice! I think you have plenty of patent bags to enjoy. I am in LOVE with your red patent hobo by the way....
