To defend some of the people who were in the store with their "goach", they may not know they have a fake. About 12 years ago, I purchased a coach leather bag from a lady who worked for Sara Lee (I think it was SL who was the parent company back then). She was extending her discount to some of her friends. Well... I believed her. Mistake #1.

Mistake #2 was when I took my bag to the Coach store in the Bloomies bldg. on Mich. Ave. because something had broken on my bag. Needless to say, a manager was called out and I was interrogated. I lied and said my grandmother had sent me the bag as a college graduation gift b/c I quickly figured out that I'd been taken and I was somewhat worried they'd call the police on me!

So, maybe they are young and/or naive and just didn't know any better. I didn't!

Oh, and the manager ended up taking my bag and giving me an identical real one as a trade. I think they'd never seen a fake before (it was a long time ago), and wanted to show it higher up the chain. I still have that bag and it looks amazing all these years later! However, I've NEVER purchased a bag from a "friend" again!

It's disgusting how many fakes there are. Around here there is a weekly flea market that I won't even walk through anymore because I can't stand the table after table of fake bags of all kinds. Literally, every other stand is bags, there are far more of these than any other type of merchandise. Sadly, that is all I see being carried around here too. It's a rarity to see a real bag even though we have outlets like an hour away in PA. It's gotten to the point where I don't even dare compliment someone's bag if I don't get a really good look at it because there's a good chance it's not real.

These people fake everything. They even faked the cotton carly's last year within a matter of weeks. Last week I was shopping and I actually saw fake tattersall, it was awful. In the deli down the street I've seen Goach visors But the worst I've ever seen would have to be the Goach signature baby booties. I mean...why?!
