Check wishlist because it changes often. I love accessories and can’t have enough fobs, charms, wristlets, ponytail scarves. I have absolutely no mini skinnies and would love one. I'd love one of the Legacy Lipgloss charms or the Sea Life fobs. I don't have a black wallet to match my Bday Julianne but I'm not sure how much wallets are running at the outlets.

I work 4 jobs (law firm, church nursey with the under 2's, personal assitant for a Feng Shui Master, and personal assistant for a retired dentist...i also do babysitting on the side and work ocassionally for a mortgage broker)

I'm working late in my classroom this evening. Yes, I do know I'm a workaholic. Today was the last day of school, it's Friday, and the beginning of a 3 day weekend before coming back for 3 days of Professional Development. My child came to work with me today since he got out of school yesterday, so at least he's not being ignored as I go through supplies tossing old things or stuff that will dry out over the summer.

So, you're probably wondering why I'm telling you this on the RAOK thread - because for lack of better words - I'm pissed off!!! I'm in charge of secret pals at my school, which is our version of RAOK. We have the same pal all year and most people do a fabulous job of buying for their pal. We have a guideline of at least $5 a month for gifts though most people do much better than that. I spent over $50 on my sp's Christmast gift alone and that wasn't the only thing I gave in December. Last night we had our reveal dinner but my person wasn't there and didn't send a thank you gift as we're supposed to do. Today, he had his wife go out and get the gift which arrived in a large gift bag, complete with the $5 Big Lots price tag attached.....the best part? Big Lots is having a 60% off sale. Yes ladies, I got a $2 thank you gift for a year's worth of very nice gifts and I'm sure he told her how much to spend. My end of the year gift last week set me back over $30!!! It's a good thing he's already said he's not participating next year because I'd ban him for this and not giving to his SP for over 3 months earlier in the year. We've never had someone do something so tacky to their SP. As for my SP gift, it's a scented oil diffuser that I'm allergic to - and yes, they knew it. I've worked with both the teacher and spouse off and on for over 3 years and have taught all their children. I sincerely thought they had more character than this. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

I just have to say how much I appreciate each participant in these three RAOK's I've participated in. Nobody has been rude or inconsiderate to their buddy that I have known about. Everyone has fun, genuinely loves participating, and keeps this in the spirit it's intended. Yes, we've had glitches, but there was never any malice intended. I just want to say thank you to each of you for keeping this fun and having the integrity to do right by your buddies each time. You're what makes the RAOK a success!

Yes, Carol Ann usually does the Elfster drawing early so I suspect we'll have buddies by breakfast time. I need to double check that I've added a couple of things on my wishlist. Thanks for the thoughts. Though I'm mad, I feel the need to tell everyone here how much I appreciate that they're NOT like that. Sad that people you've never met IRL are sometimes nicer than those you do know IRL. KWIM?

^^^ :( I'm sorry OK, that is really awful, especially because it has been a culminating activity. I never understand why people participate if they don't REALLY want to participate!! I hold a big Christmas dinner every year complete with a gift exchange and there are always these two people who consistently give the worst gifts-way below price limit, cheap price tags still attached, items the recipient doesn't even want/can't use--a lot like your situation. It hurts the whole spirit of the gift exchange, since someone who spent lots of time/money on a gift ends up getting something worthless and unthoughtful. Why participate if you don't really want to follow the rules and give a good gift? Hopefully your school gift exchange will be better next year, and I'm sure you'll have a fabulous RAOK gift to make up for your bad experience!! Enjoy the long weekend

I've truly been blessed with wonderful RAOK buddies each time - giving and receiving. I'm sure I won't have any complaints. Like you, I don't get why anyone would participate if they don't intend to go all out. The saddest part is the person he gave to was the one buying for me. I told her we can sleep well tonight because we know in our hearts we did the right thing and we didn't stop buying for our SP because of one bad apple.

Aww sorry to hear that OKBL! It sucks when everyone isn't as equally enthused about giving!

That's what I love RAOKs on tPF! Every single person I think puts in a ton of work and thought in to their packages, especially with the Coach RAOKs!

I have only seen a few people ever flake out and receive a package and not give one back in some of the other RAOKs I have been in on other subforums on tPF, but that is really rare.

I think most people who participate generally do love to give and are quite generous!

Knowing that you were able to make someone's day a little brighter is the best feeling in the world!!

That is also what makes RAOKs so much fun!

I can't wait for another round. It should be fun! There are a TON of people participating in this round and a lot of new people so it should be a ton of fun!

I love ANY pink accessories the most, and would love any of the new sea life charms (not lobster i already have him!) or the flamingo. Would love any polka dot scarf! I love the amanda/madison line and would love something in the green color or blue or purple from that line. I would love any cosmetic case as I do not have one yet. :) No signature please, I'm phasing out of signature. I also love the penelope flower charms and would love one of those :) I love keyfobs/charms with animals/insects more than anything else! I will try to update my elfster wishlist ASAP as I am new to the site. :)
