Newest Legacy Satchel in Store as Preview??

Hello, I went to the coach store yesterday and they had 2 bags at the counter that you could preview. One was the legacy tote that is in the Fall Catalog on page 50 but the other is not in the catalog or online. I called her and she said its the new Legacy Satchel and it was in the green color. It had 2 handles, one longer for the shoulder and one medium size if you wanted to carry it closer. It was not a really small handle like on one of the purses I saw on this forum. This bag was made with the new leather and it was really beautiful. If someone has a picture of this bag, maybe they could post it. She said I can order it in 3 week.

I saw this bag also yesterday: Legacy Satchel in Bottle Green and Black. The 'bottle green' is more of an olive tone....at least on the 'new' Legacy leather. It is pretty, but not a 'green' as the bottle green that is posted on the Bridgit on tPF. The leather reminds me of the Sabrina leather (it was sitting there besides the satchels)....kind of glistens, has a 'sparkly effect' in the leather. The bags will be coming out the end of the month in the floorset and online.

I saw the same green bag friday. It wasn't on the floor, the SA was showing me a few bags they had in the back, I really liked it a lot! I wonder why she would have made you wait to order, they were willing to sell me the bag the other day!

I was actually able to order it if I wanted to, but I am still unsure. I wanted to come home and see if I could find it online. I am kinda deciding between this one and the legacy tote that is new. I like them both but I think I am liking the tote more. Not sure though. Do you know the model number for that bag by any chance?

Ooh this sounds interesting. Any chance the shoulder strap could be adjusted to fit crossbody? I was just thinking it would be nice if they would come out with more of a convertible legacy bag instead of having to have two totally different bags if you want to wear them differently- ie) shoulder flap and hippie.

I really wanted the black one! I tried it on last week and then yesterday. I loved the gray as well. I'm going to try to sell some more bags (including my pleated satchel) to buy that one. I just can't justify paying $798 (plus tax) when I already have a black bag. I felt that the leather was more like my pleated satchel. Oh...and the double pockets!!

I WILL own that bag!!

The tote is the only one that has the legacy lining all of the rest have colored satin lining so the tote is the one I want either in purple or gray! The tote and satchel are both $698!

This is correct. My top handle is $758. My SA's store has a few pieces in this. I originally ordered the tote but cancelled it for the top handle. Big mistake for me, but I will probably just stick to the Bridgits (if they are garcia). I kept the top handle, but actually every time I carry it, a SA offers to return it for me...so I might eventually end up with a tote style IF it's better than the top handle. The leather is just too thin to be structured enough for some styles without reinforcement (which at least the top handle does NOT have).

I also was able to see the bottle green Legacy satchel IRL and ordered it right away. I love the fact that it has the striped Legacy lining. I know there is some debate about the new leather, but I like it. It has a slight sheen to it and is very smooth and pliable. I tried it on with my stuff in the bag and loved the slouch. I shy away from large bags so my only fear is that it may be too heavy. However, we sat it side by side with my small/med Sabrina and the Legacy satchel wasn't all that much bigger. It will arrive at the end of the week, I will update my post at that time.

My bottle green Legacy satchel arrived today. I love it. Here is my granddaughter modeling it. She is a size 5'3" size 5. It has the striped lining and is substantial but not too heavy. Measurements are 15 across, 9 high and 6 deep. The shoulder strap is adjustable with a drop of anywhere between 10 and 15 inches. Style number 12704.
