So, I really really would like the new pink signature stripe tote (the big one of course). I come across one on eBay, with no pictures except a stock image, so I ask the buyer if she can send me REAL pictures of the ACTUAL item that she is up for auction.

She replies that she will have it today or tomorrow, she is waiting for it to be delivered from Coach.

I reply back saying that I find it weird that she would buy something from coach to sell it on eBay, most likely taking a loss because the bag is not in huge demand or sold out for that matter.

She replies with (word for word)
We receive a discount from Coach and Coach does have a discount in place for valued customers which a lot of people do not even know about. We also do not discuss what we pay for items and we feel that it should not matter for a customer because they are getting a great deal on items that are 100% authentic and people today only care about what amount they pay for an item. I hope you do not take this info in a bad way but just think about that you are getting a great deal for the same product.

Sounds highly fishy to me. She probably saw it at her outlet on clearance and wanted to see if she could sell it on eBay before purchasing it.

I totally agree that it sounds highly fishy. This lady sells tons of Coach and other items, she has plenty of positive feedback, over 3000 +s...

I'd let her know that you talk to alot of people that know coach very well and that what she is saying doesnt sound right... I'd asked her for a copy of the invoice thats shipped with the bag even if she covers the price that she payed for it... lets see what she says to that!

What is she selling it for? Maybe she used the PCE or works for Coach.

Babidius, it is possible that she did, but her response doesn't make it sound that way..and PCE isn't some secret society event that Coach lets no one know about..I mean come on lady! (talking to the seller!)

Yeah, I think she uses PCE ( it is true that not everyone knows about it.. I didn't until I came here!)or works for Coach.. possibly scopes the outlet or department store sales for more popular bags to sell. I think all the re-sellers do this.

That sounds kind of suspect to me. Coach does not have
a special discount that applies to certain customers all of the
time that I know of. Sounds like she is getting the bag from
an outlet.

I think she could have used PCE, especially because she said it was for "valued customers." I didn't know what PCE was until tPF and since Coach doesn't really advertise the event to everyone so many people don't know what it is.

What is really weird is that she listed an item that she doesn't have in her possession yet, but if she does get some pics of the ACTUAL item she is selling, it might be okay. Especially if her feedback is really good. If she is giving you weird vibes though, then stay away! Just my 2 cents...

I am sure she bought it with PCE.. a lot of people do not know about it.. that or she or someone she knows works for Coach.

Well, here is my theory..........She bought it on eBay under a different user ID and possibly got a good deal. Maybe she has not received it but decided to list it now anyway. Maybe she is a Coach flipper. Makes sense in my head.

That is the actual item you will be getting because I already bought myself a few and when you buy the item from coach and only seeing the photo on their website, then that is the one you will get otherwise then can be in trouble for selling you something that they advertised and you did not receive just like with eBay. You can see by our feedback that we do sell you exactly what is pictured and this is the purpose of feedback and if feedback is not what your looking at, then maybe you need to buy directly from Coach. Feedback tells you if the seller is honest and is true to their listings and this is the purpose feedback has on ebay. This should be how you are deciding to purchase from a Seller.
