I needed a light-colored leather bag for the summer. I found a camel slim Ali - used but still in good condition, $180 so good price, good feedback on the seller so I went for it. The next day she emailed me saying she didnt notice a spot on the leather that is darker than the rest of the bag, but she wanted to be honest, so I could either get my $$ back or she would give me $25.00 off. She sent pictures, and its under the flap in the front where the bag closes so you cant see it unless you open the bag. I went ahead w/the transaction and told her I appreciated her honesty. Got it yesterday. At first I wasnt sure. The Apple kinda made the spot darker and even more obvious, and there were several other small discoloration spots on the bag. Also, the slim Ali is much smaller than the regular Ali I had. But I Apple'd it a few times, downsized my stuff a bit, dressed it up and I really really like it!!! It will be perfect for my light-colored bag, and since it already has some "damage" maybe I wont freak out every time I get a ding on it. Plus you cant beat the price! Does anyone have a camel leather bag? Any tips on how to keep it looking good? I notice EVERY time I touch it, it makes some sort of lighter mark. It rubs out, but still...I'll try not to let it drive me to distraction. Here a few shots. The second it a close-up of the mark - its on the left side under the flap.

i think she is beautiful, I have no tips for you. but wanted to say congrats what a find. do you have the dimensions of the slim ali? I really want an ali but not sure the slim would hold my over abundance of crap I think I need every day.

I have really crap measing skills, but it appears to be around 11 x 9 , and 3 inches wide w/stuff in it. It stands up by itself, but only when I like "plop" it onto a hard surface to make it stand up. The only thing missing from that photo that I will have to have w/me is my sunglasses case, and it will fit ok. I even had to scramble for my smallest wristlet, as the capacity ones took up the whole inside!!

DH is pretty oblivious about stuff in general, so I'm ok! Plus he recently got his dream car (a Porsche), so he cant say squat about a new bag... or two... or five!!!

Yes, I totally appreciated her honesty and left her positive feedback. She could have not said a word and I would have had no choice in the matter.

I actually went from about 25 bags recently down to about 13/14 (I have to count) - I really wanted to simplify and just buy/keep bags I really loved/needed to have a well rounded collection, not just buying stuff just to buy it, or holding on to items I'll never use again. I showed him my stack of boxes recently which is down to half of what it used to be and even he was quite impressed!!!
