Default Is this normal????

I need some advice. I have a Small Ergo Pebbled Pebbled Leather Hobo that I bought back in February 2008 and I noticed something about it a few days ago. The leather started to peel near the seem. Is that supposed to happen? or is that normal for the leather to start peeling off? I love this bag dearly but just wanted some advice on it. Thanks.

(Sorry for the big picture)

I know that when people come into our store with something like that, or if the leather piecing is peeling off of the handles, we tell them that it's normal wear-and-tear. Coach is actually only required to honor quality issues regarding stitching and hardware.

As far as it being normal....well it shouldn't be.

I'm so sorry that this has happened to your bag, Luvs. I have a couple of bags that have some tiny bits peeling from where the extra small piece hangs over and I try to be careful not to aggravate it. To be sure, you're referring to the top part where there is a flap pulling away? Yeah, then that's a concern. I would still ask a SA to have a look at it as well as a leather mending store for their opinions. I like to ask opinions first before I start getting into major decisions.

Good luck on what you find out from your bag! I know the peeling heat sealant on my legacy needs to be looked at and I am glad I sent that in for repair.

Take care,
