I know what you mean and I prefer it handheld by the shorter straps. The long strap over my shoulder makes the bag slouch alot, even full, and it kinda pulls up at the corners where the straps are attached. Its a nice option to have, but I dont think I'll be using the long strap much.

Well, its kind of confusing, but it lies flat against the bottom and is held in place by smaller leather straps on either side of the bottom of the bag, so you like weave it through and then clasp it on the side, but it does stick out a little on the sides. I guess you could totall take the strap off (it is totally detachable) and not have to worry about it at all.

I could even fit in an action figure or two, but probably not the entire Nintendo DS unit/game case that I sometimes have to carry!! I think both would look nice on you as its such a gorgeous bag, just depends on your needs for the bag. This is my ME bag!
Thanks donnalynn! I think I am going to go for the espresso as well but I will wait until I see them IRL before I decide on a size. Thanks for the help and enjoy your beautiful new bag! It looks perfect on you!

Thanks everyone! I took it out for a spin today with my kids and it is so lightweight and comfortable that I was able to hold it on my arm and STILL hold the hand of my little boy, which is most definitely more important than holding on to ANY bag!!! This size is so perfect for me because it didnt weigh my arm down like a rock (hello, Lily! I love you but boy are you heavy!!!) Anyway, thanks for all the compliments. Its a definite keeper. I may even look into another color at some point. Why cant this bag come in gray?!!

Donnalynn....that sabrina is a very classy bag. The espresso color is such a rich and vibrant color plus that bag looks fabulous on you.
