So I went to the mall today just to "browse" of course... and my other obsession I have is designer sunglasses... I think some women on this forum will understand especially if they have a sunglass fetish as well! BUT I was walking thru Bloomies and noticed some Dior and Versace sunglasses... a couple that were just GORGEOUS! They range around $275-350... I have spent this much on a pair of sunglasses before and of course COACH bags...

Now if you had to choose... a designer pair of glasses (any designer) or a COACH bag... what would you rather have and why? Like I said, ppl w/a sunglass fetish will understand how difficult this is to choose...

I'm a sunglass loser and the quickness with which I lose them is inversely proportional to how much they cost.

Well for me I would get a bag. I have a horrible time with sunglasses though. I do not take care of them well enough to justify the $. I even turned down the Coach sunnies at the rack for $49.00! I just end up scratching them up. So I just get some nice ones at TJ'Maxx that are under $10.00. I am cheap when it comes to sunnies, but I must have 5 pairs-loL!

I would get a new bag. I love my sunnies, but luck out more frequently on those at TJ Maxx than I do on bags. I just won't spend more than $25 - $40 and have bought numerous pairs of Kate Spade, Coach and MJ for that much and TJM and Marshalls.

Well, I just got a new pair of sunglasses, so I would go for a bag.

i do like sunglasses, but i like bags better!
and lots of sunnies give me a headache esp if they are heavy in front! i generally buy cheap ones.
my DH loves Oakley and i got him a pair for his bday in april. he had them for a week and dropped them face down on the driveway. they now have a very nice scratch on one lense.

You would have to pry my Coach sunglasses out of my cold dead hands, as someone on here said, so I choose sunglasses. They are my salvation for days when I want to run without eye makeup - just fluff the hair and put on some great MAC lipstick and I'm incognito!!! Ever since I got several pair of good sunglasses I will NEVER buy cheapies again. My husband is the same way and buys $350+ Maui Jims to keep in each of his cars! I choose both too, but if I HAD to pick it would be good sunglasses.

I vote for the bag! I have to wear prescription sunglasses and they cost $400.00 every 3 years when I have to upgrade my prescription. There not even designer! SO for me, a bag would be just fine anyday!

the bag probably has more worth and use (depending on where you live) but i see the dilemma! it just depends imo on how many bags/sunglasses you already have and if the new things you want are similar in design or not

I'd go for the bag, since you can pretty much count on using the bag again. As sunglass trends seem to only last that season.

I like designer shades, but am quite talented at breaking and/or losing them.
Right now, my BCBG $80 shades have lasted me a few months, and I think that may be a new record!
On the other hand, I have never (knock on wood) lost or ruined a Coach item.
So I vote for a Coach bag!

I love my $10 steve madden sunglasses and my $10 baby phat sunglasses (both from tj maxx). I could NEVER spend that much on a pair of sunglasses and I do love sunnies! I just buy inexpensive ones so I don't have to worry about them and because every year I end up seeing pics of myself in them the next year and decide I don't like them on me anymore lol! So, I'd totally buy a new purse and put my $10 sunnies inside!
